so I'm in New York, and more specifically right next to the theatre district!
I plan on seeing one show a night until I leave, and I already did Memphis tonight
I'm not quite sure what else I'll be heading to, but I did have the foresight to get tickets to
, otherwise known as the show that's sold out till like September next year and apparently the best musical of EVER
so let's talk about broadway, and plays, and acting!

You bastard. My brother wanted tickets for that for his birthday (yesterday).
Last thing I saw was Catch Me if you Can, and it was pretty good.
it won all the tonys and literally everyone who I have spoken to who has seen it has utterly lost their shit about it
I think they have 'good' covered
i should see a shit ton more
but im the lazy
fair enough, but I do maintain that the South Park movie is one of the best movie musicals ever made, so I may be in touch with their brand of Broadway
Sucks double because I actually know one of the Tony nominees. Rory O'Malley is from Cleveland was in my parish's youth group.
they do good things with mormonism
Steam
yes absolutely
Yeah they've only maintained a revolutionary and wildly popular television show for 20 years. How talented could they possibly be.
Haven't really watched it for a few years, though.
What would those things be?
all of seen of south park is them being offensive pricks to everyone
the only remotely good thing I saw was their episode about scientology, and even then...
the Mormon episode of South Park is gold, and pretty even-handed
I mean, kinda
I haven't watched in a long time but South Park had some pretty fantastic seasons and it has stayed relevant WAY longer than anyone would have thought after the first season.
this is the only song I've heard from it but it sounds pretty good

took a workshop for it on sunday and it was the most fun I've had in months
so excited!!~~
And since we won't have a musical this fall that means we're going to have a ton of other plays we'll be working on
but from what I understand it's pretty even handed and doesn't just shit on things for the sake of shitting on them (which I've noticed as being the case in south park most of the time as well, so)
Yeah I don't even really like the show (well not since the first few seasons) but the South Park film is pretty fantastic. The music is genuinely solid.

you're the best zonugal
have you read this?
I'm like 50 pages into it and it's changing my perspective on improv/life
Right now I'm just waiting to head to Seattle so I can jump into the improv scene there.
It was a pretty great performance, and I go to run lights for it which was really fun with the guillotine scenes.
Good luck Animal! Are you in Chicago or on one of the coasts?
Coran Attack!
love that movie

i'm in Chicago. i love that it is the founding place of so much comedic tradition
every class I've taken at the second city was totally awesome
I got the chance to take a directing course with Bernie Sahlins, one of the founders of the place
guy is like 85+ and still so wise and funny
I know some musical purists who don't like it but man I love it so.
Ewan McGregor got even hotter to me because of his singing.

it's one of the only movies I like Nicole Kidman in
I have very much been enjoying The Book of Mormon since the album was released and I am ferociously jealous that you're seeing it.
My favourite song is this one:

But it probably requires the rest of the show's context to be really funny.
