That's true. Precisionk should've given the patients a win condition.
Why not cast our lots with another faction?
Because it completely unbalanced the game.

At any time, we could've been all killed.

The odds may have been stacked against us, but that doesn't change the fact that they're on a different side than ours.

It's kind of depressing seeing all these people who were supposedly on my side coming out and going "Yay Black Market! We win!"

So the hospital staff was just really lucky then? I owe you an apology, Fish. Sorry about getting very pissed off at you.

On the other hand, what the hell is this about Ardor and co. handing the Black Market people the game? Are you fucking kidding me?
    So where's my apology, Gnasty?
What do I owe you an apology for? I got angry at Fish for being responsible for a leak (which he wasn't, unless you include yourself). You, on the other hand, tried your hardest to get me killed and decided to mess up the game by allying with the Black Market. I'm pretty sure that I don't owe you anything.

    Phalla - Serious business

Aside from all that, I don't see anything wrong with playing a game the way it is fun to you. Ardor constantly made deals with other factions and such, even going as far as helping out a badguy find a suitable excuse to save himself....even though he was on the other side. No one gives him any guff for this.
Why do it to these folks.

I stated on the Freudian 5 board that I was willing to work with everyone in the 5, to make us the final survivors, no matter what the cost. That was my plan.

Don't get so worked up over this game...it was fucked from the start. I mean, comeon, it is an insane asylum phalla...what did you expect?

From what I can see, the game was over for the villagers after Day 1, if not impossible for us to win to begin with.

To win outright, we would've had to kill both the BMG and the Staffers within a day of each other if that, and before we lost 75% of the villagers.

That's a pretty brutal win condition.

To be honest, I'm not completely happy that Plut outright gave up the Institute to the BMG straight off the bat. I was under the assumption he was double agenting like me. I can see how that can be percieved as game breaking.

Can you imagine how long this game would've gone on for if I had been killed by the BMG or you guys earlier, jeez we'd be here for ever.

I had a lot of fun in this one even though I didn't have any special powers and was never let into any network.

I came up with the numbers and then based off the first night's events picked out what numbers were "suspicious".

Sign-ups for the next Phalla will go up sometime tomorrow. precisionk, please PM me the list of players who aren't allowed to play. Or just post it.

I was under the impression that when you signed up to the play the game you were signing up to play the game. As in, when you are given your team, you aren't supposed to betray them for the hell of it. And yes, you could say that precisionk didn't explicitly give the patients a win condition, but that's a pretty stupid argument and everyone knows it (the village always has to kill the bad guys--they don't team up with them for fun).

So I guess you can say that "phalla - serious business" thing and shrug it all off, but hey, then what's to stop me next game to say, "Hi everyone! I'm one of the bad guys, but I'm willing to give someone the names of everyone on my team if they write me a really nice poem! Whoever writes the best poem gets the names, and even though I won't technically win, I'm having fun so so what, right?"

Psycholarry1 did it...granted he was slightly manipulated by the baddies.

This is not an unprecedented happening.

Did you read the rest of my post? The whole thing about Ardor and the fact that this was the INSANE ASYLUM phalla? This wasn't a serious phalla at all (NO offense Precisionk, I don't mean it like that.) it was a balls out, crazy, do whatever you want, insane, raghghghurlargh phalla.

Edit: Gnasty, that is an extirely different circumstance. They didn't go into this wanting to fuck everyone over. I assure you that if precisionk had known about what was happening behind the scenes, he would have endorsed it. Other games, that would be kinda fucked up.

This was a special phalla, how do you not get that?

I expect it to at least follow the basic format of a Phalla: two or more teams working for their OWN victories.

Trying to use the number of bad guys as a justification for throwing in the towel early is complete BS, because WE DIDN'T KNOW the number of bad guys.

Now let's see how many more responses in the vein of "lol it's insane phalla, we played it differently" we can get.

    I never really addressed you.

I do remember how I arrived at your nickname, though.

You were slot number 4. (1)
You have four letters in your name. (2)
Your name is two four letter words. (3)
You have four Zs in your name. (4)

    Hence, Quadruple Four.

Yeah. The bottom line is that some people decided to switch to the other team just for the hell of it. I think that the very least to expect from someone when they sign up for one of these is that they'll try to win it (I don't care how they try to win--Ardor making a deal with the Assamites in the Vampire Phalla was completely fine in my book, but the bottom line is that you have to want your side to win).

I didn't give win conditions to the patients right away. I did give them in the Narrations. I believe if you read them, took a few days down the road, that essentially they were given and what you needed to do.

I wanted this Phalla to be immersive and not just:

To win press the A button. Perhaps I brought this to a bit RPish, but I wanted to have some type of story, albeit a minor one.

This is an Insane Asylum. You guys were brought here. Essentially it was the end of the line for everyone. Their wasn't a win condition, because really, their aren't winners in an Asylum.

However, the patients could have EASILY have won, just so happens they made a few stupid mistakes that could have helped them out immensely. Patients were technically thrown in the middle, during a war of who controls the Asylum, the staff or the BMA. How you guys decided who wins and what, was up to you. I gave you the tools, you guys used em.

The villagers who are affronted that we 'swapped teams' are kind of weird, all the actions that the specials that were in the Institute benefited you as much as the BMG. I killed 2 innocents, 2 BMGs and 3 Staffers, yeah I'm the fucking best friend of the BMGs :).

The Staffers have some justification for their anger, but really, two teams ganging up on another team is not that uncommon in the Phallas. See the vampire Phalla, the goodies teamed up with one of the baddies to take out the other baddies. Though I was pretty angry at that at the time, so I'm hypocritical.

Bottom line is, it sucks to lose.
