The rain had turned to snow and soft white flakes floated down into the street.
Police Lieutenant Michael Grady was coming home from a very late night poker game. His pockets jingled with change and he whistled to himself as he got into his Model A. Suddenly, a group of hoodlums jumped him.
"We know you're on the take, Grady. We know you're working for the Irish. You helped 'em rob the Sibly Distillery and now you're gonna pay!" They dragged the cop off into an alley and beat him until he passed out, then left him in the red-spotted fresh snow.
Later in the day, Reinhart Schwimmer was found with a .38 calibur bullet in his brain. Word on the street was that he had seen the mob take down Grady and had done nothing to stop them. That was how the Irish took care of traitors.
Police were also investigating the murder of Edward "Eddie Buff" Lanzieri. Although no one would say it to the cops, there were rumors that one of Capone's own men had gone rogue. Thirsty for blood, he'd take out anyone that crossed his path or looked at him funny. Even the Italians were starting worry.
Albert Weinshank and Frankie La Porte were also walking home from a late night. Both had some little things for their lovers in their hands- some chocolates and flowers. They stopped, looked at each other, then looked at their packages. Thinking of their sweethearts at home, they shrugged and stepped around each other. Maybe it was best not to tell the bosses about that little meeing and just stay home today...

Hmm, stopped by the power of love, but dead. Interesting. Also, is Albert Weinshank an Irishman as hinted at due to his color and just not notated, or is he a neutral?

Did they look at their own packages, or the other guy's? Was it awkward? Did they ever speak of it again? Why weren't they wearing pants outdoors in Chicago?
Oh right, I'm still sort of annoyed with SlyM for his play in the Vampire phalla. That'll do for now.
I don't even remember what I did in that phalla except not know the source material and play very poorly. Were you mafia with me?
Or were you one of the people I was like "sure okay let's kill him I guess?"
Also, at first I thought it was a really good day for the Italins because I thought the green with Irish and the red was mafia mafia. then I realized it was a kinda shitty day for both groups.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

They looked at each other's packages which were obscured but still clearly indicated through the wool pants material. It was awkward. They tried to put it out of their minds but it was difficult.
Eventually, one of them had to move to San Francisco.
Hmm. Those who were eliminated in pink were from opposing village factions. I wonder if that was simply coincidence, or if it was a requirement? In any case, it looks like the hardened mafia members of Chicago have more to worry about than the physical realm.

Ok, so analyzing the deaths leads me to conclude the Italians didn't have a vig last night. Assuming that village faction is roughly equal in strength, that should mean the Italians should get a vig tonight, but not the Irish.
We had 1 vote death, 1 irish vig death, 1 sk death, and 2 love killings.
