It's a negative ad. "Obama likes porn and doesn't care about children." The only thing shocking is how ridiculously transparent Santorum is about going negative. I've seen internet flame wars that were more measured and reasonable than this. It's getting to the point where people holding the Obama-as-Hitler signs are stepping back and going "dude, did you really think that one through?"

Anyone else, i'd agree. Ol' Frothy, though - I genuinely think he'd like to outlaw porn if he could.

But like, does Santorum not realize that this is a legal activity? Also, is a state issue? The number of things wrong here, just, blegh.

Republicans are currently abandoning the 'state issues!' doctrine when it comes to religious mandate. It has to be at the Federal level. All Americans must be converted to Christianity, and it starts by forcing Americans to live by Christian standards. I really resent this fucking rhetoric. Why can't this guy just drop dead?

Why can't The Rapture be tomorrow?

I hope they do a Youtube/Twitter question debate thing. I would like to ask if Obama is "pro-moon base" or not.

This is a deciding factor in my vote.

If he responds, "That's no moon," even though it wouldn't make sense as an answer, four more years.

Then he reveals that he has spent the last four years secretly transforming the moon into a space station.

I give it maybe two decades until we decide to start mining the moon for rare earth metals.

Wouldn't it be rare moon metals?

The moon came from the Earth ergo, shut up.

They don't have much choice. All their candidates suck. Their option is limited to who they think sucks the least.

Yeah, you have to remember that this is a party whose had characters like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman having a serious campaign effort.

Santorum looks like a fucking political messiah compare to those two.

Santorum was on ABC this morning. He actually had some good responses to the questions, and that scared me.

Then he said there was no difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama on economic and healthcare issues.

Santorum was smart enough to hire people who knew their shit to teach him, and then he was smart enough to actually listen to them.

He's getting scarier the longer this goes on.

Any of these guys sound great when they say, "We need to get Americans back to work, there's a lot of people hurting out there. We need business owners to start hiring, and we need less dependence on foreign oil!"

But as soon as you ask for details, they start into the shit that makes them Republican.

Here's what's even scarier. He's a True Believer, but his handlers, since they appear to be pretty decent at their jobs, must be telling him his views are pretty repugnant to a lot of the middle. Or he already knows. If he doesn't know or hasn't been told, there's no reason to worry about him. But assume he does.

That means that in order to win, he'll have to appeal to the middle, who disagree with him. As opposed to a candidate saying far out things they don't really believe to appeal to the base during the primary, he's going to be saying things he doesn't believe to appeal to the moderates during the general.

It's basically why I'm hoping Romney gets the nomination.
The idea of a Romney presidency is disappointing. The idea of a Santorum presidency is actively terrifying.
Obviously the hope here is for Obama win win re-election, but any chance of a Santorum presidency above 0% is too high.

Romney wins PR. Undoes all the momentum Santorum earned last week, plus some. His lead has never been larger.

I doubt the media will acknowledge this.

    Yes, and that's horrible.

Many of the rest of us who were homeschooled for entirely legitimate reasons and turned out pretty fucking well thank you very much find it pretty offensive to be lumped in with the Santorums though.
