I spied on Langly Day 1 and caught him tracking Retaba, so I initiated the following conversation.
Baidol January 27
So, what did you learn from tracking Retaba?
LanglyLangly January 27
Haha, nice.
Give me a minute.
LanglyLangly January 27
I'm a neutral in a spy versus spy game. Please do not tell anyone this. My ability is to track people and if I am in the same room as them, I learn their role, but not their alignment.
My target is a rebel spy. I win if I kill them and survive till the end.
I already know that Kime is my target. I am hopefully killing him tonight.
Retaba moved from the cabin to the engineer room and is a researcher.
BaidolBaidol January 27
What.
BaidolBaidol January 27
Does "role" include "mafia"?
LanglyLangly January 27
No that's why I said no alignment.
Like mill was a security guard. He was also mafia. I would have just seen security guard.
BaidolBaidol January 27
How do you know kime is your target?
LanglyLangly January 27
He
Told me
BaidolBaidol January 27
What.
LanglyLangly January 27
I was given the base crewmen and researcher role pm, as I assume he was, but he just rolled up all hey I'm a spy, help a brother out?
And I said yes of course I will.
BaidolBaidol January 27
What.
I'd comment but people decided this game was one of the ones where I'd be day 1'd. If I wasn't busy with other stuff, I probably would have fought it but can't do that when you aren't at the computer. For the record, if I was at the computer and could tie the vote, I would have totally done just that to see what happened.
"You humans are such a young race. You don't understand what you're getting into. We are only trying to protect you from yourselves."
"I hope you live long enough in the reactor to feel pain."
"It's been fun! We left you a present in engineering, by the way."
"What?"

So, if anyone was wondering who set the first bomb off in Engineering, that killed retaba, who had stated in the thread that he was at 1 hp and in engineering,
it completely side railed all of my interactions with mega, when we were trying to figure out who the mafia were, and I was positive it was kilnaga, even though mega thought his vote exonerated him.
that one move could have completely fucked the village for days if things had gone differently.
Area of effect bombs that have a timer so that you can't be exactly sure who is going to get hit are the least villager friendly item. It is a weapon specifically made for the mafia to employ against you. There was absolutely no reason for any villager to want to have a bomb, ever.
And especially after I mentioned in the thread that you got the items off of the person you killed, villagers who made bombs were just walking bomb deposits for the mafia!
Big 3 Issues with this game:
1. Kills needed to happen faster. The villagers really needed more incentive to shoot each other. I have some ideas on how to solve this in the next game.
2. The mafia needed a better way to conceal some of their actions/movements
3. The room scanner was too strong, despite the unreliability I tried to build into it.
it completely side railed all of my interactions with mega, when we were trying to figure out who the mafia were, and I was positive it was kilnaga, even though mega thought his vote exonerated him.
Not entirely. The vote alone wasn't what made me think he was innocent.
Being in the same room as Kilnaga+Malkor and only getting hit with 1 shot was what made me think Kilnaga was innocent.
You are a Royalist Spy on a mission aboard the SS Phallatomic, a newly commissioned research ship sent to investigate a spacetime anomaly that was detected in unexplored space.
Unfortunately, something went wrong. The Captain is dead, and there are reports that some of the crew are acting odd.
But that’s not your primary concern.
A Separatist Spy somewhere aboard the ship has gained access to some sensitive information. Your mission is to eliminate the other spy and survive until the gunfire quiets down so you can make an escape. Beware, the other spy is certainly looking out for you.
Abilities:
Espionage Specialist: Years of fieldwork has honed your senses and instincts to an incredible level. In addition to being an expert tracker, you are capable of learning a lot about a person just by taking a quick look at them. You are able to track a player, learning their location and any move action they are taking that night. In addition, if the tracked player is in the same location as you, you will learn their role.
Stealthy: You may choose not to be counted towards the total number of players in your location.
Able to access advanced functions of:
Your specialized spy training lets you access the advanced functions of every subsystem.
Weapons:
Quantum Arms(tm) Heavy Carbine Custom: A customized military grade carbine. This is a lighter, more compact version a heavy battle rifle that fires a large, high velocity bullet that explodes into a ball of hot plasma on impact. This is one of the most powerful guns in the galaxy, and often sees use among special forces expecting a dangerous engagement. This particular rifle has been customized with a folding stock and made easier to disassemble, which allowed you to smuggle it aboard the SS Phallatomic. Deals 4 damage to a single target.
Improvised Antimatter Explosive: A simple improvised explosive. This is made of a small amount of antimatter in a containment unit, with a timed fuse to break the containment field after the user has hopefully moved a safe distance away. You may use your attack action to set the explosive. The next day, it will explode, dealing 3 damage to all players in the location. Single use
Armor:
Umbrella(tm) Environment Suit with Integrated Armor: Customized environmental hazard protection suit, issued to all crewmen and research staff. It is a tough suit designed to protect the user from all the typical hazards one might encounter while working aboard a warp drive equipped spaceship. This suit has been modified by adding additional armor to protect against gunfire. You start with 12 hit points.
Victory Condition: Eliminate the Seperatist Spy and survive the chaos aboard the SS Phallatomic.

In addition, you have picked up information on a couple of roles during the trip:

You know about the Researcher role
You are a Researcher aboard the SS Phallatomic, a newly commissioned research ship sent to investigate a spacetime anomaly that was detected in unexplored space.
Unfortunately, something went wrong. The Captain is dead, and there are reports that some of the crew are acting odd.
Abilities:

Able to access advanced functions of:
Life Support
Laboratory
Storage
Reactor
Weapons:
Personal Protective Sidearm v10: Standard issue ballistic sidearm issued to all personnel being sent on missions deemed to be at risk of alien encounter. A highly refined version of centuries old technology, it is known across the galaxy for it's reliability and ease of use. Unfortunately it lacks the stopping power of more modern weaponry. Deals 2 damage to a single target.
Armor:
Umbrella(tm) Environment Suit: Standard issue environmental hazard protection suit, issued to all crewmen and research staff. It is a tough suit designed to protect the user from all the typical hazards one might encounter while working aboard a warp drive equipped spaceship. While it won't last long under sustained fire or repeated environmental damage, it should keep you alive for a while. You start with 10 hit points.
Victory Condition: Eliminate all threats to the crew of the SS Phallatomic.

You are a Crewman aboard the SS Phallatomic, a newly commissioned research ship sent to investigate a spacetime anomaly that was detected in unexplored space.

Yeah. I picked my name hoping I would die.
It has happened before where I picked a name specifically expecting to die, only to not die.
There will be quite a line of people with things to say about this game, I expect.

Nice chart to figure out how honest a news source is.
Just unlucky this time.
yeah, he had literally a 1 in 29 chance to hit the person that he needed to kill, and he rolled a 1.
also kime, I had, just before you pm'd me, given retaba the exact same offer.

Also, I find it hilarious that the character name I suggested for a nameless player was assigned to @Anialos.

what were you thinking
Yeah right.
that was the villager, iron weasel.
Villagers aren't supposed to use bombs.

I did enjoy my randomly assigned name.

My favorite part of this game was you telling about villagers making bombs when the very first thing I did in this game was make a bomb.
I wanted to see what it did so I could warn the rest of you.
It was funny to watch.

Hold all of the bombs.
Juggle that shit.
I got lots of ideas from running this game, I'll put up a sequel one day.
