Gargoyles was a great show. Like, it might not be my favorite cartoon but I kind of equate it to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer of cartoons. Sure it isn't perfect, but man if it wasn't creative and unique. And damn if it couldn't be dramatic.
Kill la Kill is a show I like for its artstyle and its frantic energy but not much else. And yes I cringe that that stupid costume. There's a costume in one of the later episodes that's even worse. I haven't watched the show since then.

The UK Being Human deffo had a woman werewolf, it was the nurse, the other werewolfs girlfriend. She's now in London Irish.
They might not like to show them much on TV due to boobs at the shirtless transformation part.
See but then I find slice of life anime rather boring. It is a conundrum. There are shows that fit what I want though, I have watched some of them so I know they exist, and that just makes me even less willing to watch the ones that are largely fan service or that make girls into some weird helpless weak creature.
Animes, man.
It can be hard to find good animes
You should watch at least one episode of Watamote, though. Me and my wife watch it and we think it's hilarious
You might see a little of yourself in the main character, or you might see a lot of your friends, but truth be told it's basically Ronnie the anime
I like certain changes in the anime a bit better, but it's strictly to taste
One nice thing about the series is that the protagonist is actually a bit of a self-absorbed jerk, so you can laugh at her mishaps rather than feel crushingly sorry for her
I remember a short story I read when I was in my early teens called the Skin Trade, it was about old money werewolves maintaining a lumber monopoly I think? It had a neat concept where most werewolves these days have so much human blood in them they just turn into scraggly coyote lookin things.
I could not wrap my head around it though. It's been a really long time since I've seen it, but I seem to remember them switching arbitrarily back and forth between wolf and human form enough that I started to question what the fuck was happening on screen. Were they humans with wolf-spirits, and the scenes of them as wolves were just metaphorical? Did they actually shapeshift? Were they actually wolves all the time and the scenes with them as HUMANS were metaphorical?? I DON'T KNOW
It probably didn't help that I caught it all on Toonami and missed certain episodes. At least, I THINK I missed episodes. Either that or the plot really was that hard to follow
I saw it in Japanese TV but then I saw it a few years later on CN both times for me were bad times so that show brings back memories I would rather not remember

They're wolves, but can give off the appearance of a human when it suits them. It's not so much shapeshifting as it is a psychic trick on the viewer.

Oh. Well that makes more sense then! Thank you Brolo
Also also how come there are never any lady werewolves?
Except for that one book series.
I think because going werewolf is a symbol for losing control and going feral and hairy and murdering everybody that bugs you.
Which traditionally is not a behavior ladies get to engage in because obviously ladies are delicate flowers not hateful raging beasts. They get ravished BY werewolves, they don't do the ravishing.
They get to be vampires though because lady vampires are about losing control and being all sexy
(not to say that's a GOOD reason, just that seems pretty obviously why there's so few of them. It's hard to sexually objectify a hairy woman with a wolf head)
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

It's odd, though, because the monthly cycle/lunar cycle thing seems like a pretty natural parallel to draw when you're making nature-based horror stories like werewolf stories should theoretically be
Alan Moore did a pretty interesting bit in Swamp Thing about exactly this, the moon and blood, about the werewolf inside of a woman raging against the injustice and the silence of the lunar goddess
Wyborn on

I was just thinking that an explicitly feminist treatment of a werewolf story would be a ton of fun
Like there's totally a ton of thematic ground to cover there
Just, y'know, hardly anyone's done it, I think cuz hairy wolf ladies aren't hawt

I don't know that I'd call it explicitly feminist, but you should track down Moore's run on Saga of the Swamp Thing - the werewolf story is fairly early on, and it's one of the better treatments of the concept I've ever read

Wolf's Rain is really well made but I found it honestly a bit too slow paced. Like, there are episodes upon episodes where there's nothing significant happening, or at least you aren't sure if it's significant or not.

It's definitely "What if Ronnie were an underweight Japanese girl."

I really wanted to like that anime, but I could not finish it despite trying twice. Still not sure why, there were some really cool elements.
this looks like a page of spinnerette
Meh there are worst ones I found before for that song

But wolverines are mustelids, not canines!
Oh. Well that makes more sense then! Thank you Brolo
(I love that name change)
I wonder why his little brother? is already dead by the start of the story?
They're not brothers! You should read that comic. It's very good.
You can be a were-anyol'damnthing! Just look at the hit video game SONIC UNLEASHED
It's never really stated when he lived/died

It's a movie about a teen girl who becomes a werewolf. I don't remember a lot about it, but werewolfs.
