Best of Both Worlds did a good job of making Riker a badass captain
Then the first movie came out and Riker forgot how a starship worked
"That teensy twenty year old klingon ship is shooting at us! Should we modulate the shield frequency or unleash a salvo of pure hell that would decimate their ship in three seconds, shields be damned?"
"No, I'd like to concoct a wild-ass scheme with Worf involving hacking into a cloaking device while they blast the shit out of the most powerful ship in Starfleet."
I really dig Best of Both Worlds as a two parter but despite it's problems I think Time's Arrow is a pretty swell little story too.
Chain of Command
This one for sheer quality.
Other favorites:
Yesterday's Enterprise
Cause and Effect.
I will always remember watching the original showing of Cause and Effect. Just straight up starts with Picard ordering abandon ship and the Enterprise fucking exploding then going to straight to opening credits. Just everyone sitting there like, wtf just happened.
Also the original showing of Chain of Command I was super sick and was on the couch in the other room hearing the episode but not seeing it. During it I had a fever dream.
I very much remember a vastly different version of Chain of Command than everyone else.

Or even just fucking warp away. Anything could have been done there. The explosion and crash of the Enterprise was still well done but really sad at the same time.
season 1 of DS9 is not as good as the rest but it was clearly designed to introduce characters and set the stage for the plotline that dominated the rest of the entire show's history
I've had TNG in my instant queue for years, but I just can't bring myself to watch them again. They're not in HD and I'm not a barbarian, I can't just watch some old SD shit anymore.

I watched all of the episodes of Beyond Belief: Fact Or Fiction he hosted
Holy fuck that was real? I was sick a lot, so much of that time surely can't have been

I think that Dan Akroyd took over after Frakes?
No that was a different similar show.
This is the same line of thinking that made early TNG a shitpile.
Star Trek can be more than one thing.
Fact.

One of my favorite things is the triple "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
it's so scooby doo
Were you even alive in the nineties?

But DS9 is super good.
Chain of Command
That is good too.
As for early season episodes?
Measure of a Man.

And All Good Things... is the best television series finale ever.

However I still cannot RENT CARS

I loved Parallels, but now that I know Braga had a hand in it...
That said, my favorite episode is, of course, Cause and Effect.
How many of you have been looking at memory alpha?
What I'm saying is that I fucking LOVE Trek
Not I good sir.
