The music in that trailer was really good. And although I really like music, I usually don't pay attention to VG music all that much. I think I may have just moved TF to a day one purchase because of that trailer.

I preordered this yesterday. I used a couple trade-ins for it, and now only have to pay five bucks upon release.

    Can't wait.

I preordered this from Amazon. I've never done that before, so I have no idea when I should expect the game.

When it comes to Nintendo, Amazon doesn't always offer release date delivery. I really hope they do this time though. If they don't ship mine by Thursday night, I'll just go digital.

So this isn't launching at a $59.99 MSRP? Because that is rather nice.

Does anyone have a comparison of disc vs. eshop load times?

Ack! I'm jealous of that tie!

Also, I've played the first couple of stages, and I'm liking it so far. If you're using the GamePad (or presumably the Pro), having played DKCR 3D on 3DS is a bit of an asset for knowing how the control schemes work.

It's a better game in basically every way, but it's got less importance, so it gets a 7.

IGN have the polar opposite opinion to Gamespot. Looks like it's a divisive title from the review score spread.

Yea, what most people don't think about when they complain about Retro doing Metroid, is that DKCR has sole more than all three Prime games combined.

As awesome as Metroid and Retro's Prime games are, they were not huge sellers.

Yup. It sold well because it was an absolutely outstanding platformer (the best 2D platformer since Super Mario World, in my opinion) and Retro chose to make a sequel. Nintendo basically gave them free reign on what their next project was going to be, so they could've theoretically made another Metroid or a Star Fox or F-Zero or whatever but they said that they liked working on DK so much and that they had so many ideas left that they made a sequel.

Yeah, but it is hard to compare those two numbers when you look at the install base for each of their systems.

It's not fair to compare Prime's numbers on the Gamecube, to DKCR's numbers on the Wii.
