The fact that they won't hit Inactivus doesn't mean it's still not suspicious
Egos you don't have my vote?
Didn't say it did. I was mostly just glad for not getting a warning Friday, when I forgot because I was several miles away from home playing Dungeon World!
Coming at you live from Big Blue, it's tonight's F-Zero race report! Twenty four pilots came to the Emperor Wave circuit to continue their dreams of becoming the next new racer on the F-Zero main league. However, the road to the championship ends here for a number of racers, thanks to the famous half-pipe section of the course.
Two of the racers who pushed the course most aggressively were swallowed by the high-speed half-pipe and were forced to retire from the race. While Don Juan CherryTempo vows to return in the next race, Avaya Samex (MaxFrost)'s team was forced to call it quits due to pilot injury. Even those who didn't fire up their machines to the limit had trouble with the course; all told, four additional pilots were forced off by the merciless track's curves. Two of these racers also had to withdraw from the remainder of the circuit: Anthony Crane (Zombie Hero) and his machine, the Undead Storm, lost control quite early in the race and went spinning straight through - and off - the halfpipe, while Leonardo Felix (CesareB) simply could not hold on for the entire race.
The track wasn't the only trouble in today's race. Pilot Dack Janiels (Trust) suddenly withdrew from the grand prix for unspecified reasons and did not participate in todays race. In addition, the league's point leaders were greatly hindered by the other racers, forcing them to the back of the pack. While the Stephanie Dola's pilot remains in the top of the overall standings, there are more racers waiting behind to capitalize on any further mistakes. Among them is Cracky McGee, who managed to deftly stay ahead of the pack, on the course, and claim first place on the track.
As we move into the second half of the season, it's still anybody's chance to take the top prize. The next race will take us to dangerous Lightning, where control is of the utmost importance. Who will take the checkered flag and take one step closer to ultimate victory? Tune in this Monday to find out!

look right? @preda or anyone else(realize I left off lucedes's jdark vote on day 2 )
I've seen your missing vote on day 2 but you corrected it before I could point it out.
Right now, beside Gizzy don't beeing red day 2 and Maxfrost don't being blue day 1 everything else seems ok.
I will anyway point out that a lot of people didn't vote: Questionably sane, schuss, CesareB (don't matter anymore), sirfab.
All people that had skirted inactivus. And haven't a bad ranking...
Since he has the worse vote count (not that it means that much, with the votes we have) and the better position between them, I'll go Questionably Sane.
i'm guessing i got attacked by at least two of you last night, possibly three?
Yep. Same here. It looks like all the leaders were attacked last night. I'm guessing the only reason I didn't crash was because I drove super carefully.
i go fastar because i have no concerns! also Grip. Grip is the best stat~
so i was rereading my role pm and i got a thing wrong in the thread.
we just have to stop the mafia from winning the race.
the village doesn't even have to win! talk about low bars.
anyway, i may be gone until after vote close. Infidel.
Eventually we're going to have to deal with Lucedes
I wouldn't say this yesterday because I was so high in the ranks, but anyone that's not gunning to keep themselves in the lead is either mafia, or doing it wrong, unless you have a real good reason to think someone else should be in the top besides you, which I haven't yet seen.
And since attacks slow you and one person down relative to everyone else, it's just a ridiculous thing for a villager to do at this point unless they are pretty sure that they are attacking a mafia.
I'd imagine that this game has action seers instead of role seers, so they should probably be looking at people that are ramming others for no real reason. As someone said, a very reasonable mafia strategy is to have some people cruise to victory, and some to ram the people that were giving them competition. I realize that some people have probably been attacking, but that really should stop, both because it could prevent mafia detection from a potential action seer, and it's just bad for the village probabilities of victory (again, unless you have a reason and aren't firing blind).
And no one's come to me asking me to join a hit squad. I was hoping someone would so I could grill them on it and suss them out. If that's been happening to you, though, those people are either mafia or unintentionally hurting the village (for the same reason). Either way, they should be stopped.
I just know that she's ahead of me, and therefore must go. I'd be happy to vote off everyone in front of me, but since she's dominantly in first, I'd rather get her, and she's the most likely wagon to be accepted by everyone since literally everyone should want her gone (unless she's mafia in which case there are some other mafia members that wouldn't).
People who think the people right behind her are Mafia shouldn't want her gone. So that's a flaw in your plan.
People that have no hope of winning themselves have to make judgment calls about whether they think Lucedes or the people right behind her are more likely to be mafia.
Keep in mind also that if lucedes isn't mafia, and she's still around day 5, the mafia just off her.
Edit: Village doesn't have the last actor advantage. If she's mafia and we don't vote her out, mafia win. The only way the village wins is to have lots of competition on the last night, and hope a villager outraces everyone else.
Basically, the closer we all are at the end, the better.
If we are spread out, that gives mafia a huge advantage at end game, especially if they have 2 kills which we've been theorizing.
Village has the vote. That is known when orders are in. Mafia can then decide to kill the top two villagers, and attack the next couple. They don't need to worry about blending in or anything else on the last day. They have their best guys go balls out.
If we are close, even if we only vote out villagers from here on out, there's still more villagers than mafia in the last race, and we have a good chance at beating them. If there's a couple people out in the lead, if they're mafia then mafia win, and if they're village they're irrelevant because the mafia kill them.
If we are spread out, that gives mafia a huge advantage at end game, especially if they have 2 kills which we've been theorizing.
why do you think they have two kills?
what in the narration indicates such?
Nothing, but nothing also indicates that it's regular crashing (the kills are not described or annotated particularly differently), and the odds of that many eliminations are slim (as I said before).

But we do have eliminations that are differentiated , so :rotate:
Race 2: Green Plant - Twisting Wind
Still, he made it out better than Sumo Abaddon (jdarksun), whose machine suffered a malfunction and complete collapse only partway through the race. Both Sumo Abaddon and his machine's manufacturers are calling foul play, stating that their products' long-standing history of reliability. In the end, it was the pilot of the Stephanie Dola, ________... err, hold on a sec... (Erm, what's the pilot's name? Hey! It's not on the page! Keep going, you say?) ... the pilot of the Stephanie Dola who took the top position.
Race 3: Big Blue - Emperor Wave
There was a third crash victim in today's race, the pilot of the Cold Fusion, Harrison Frost (Megafrost). Frost seemed to have lost control, suffering an uncharacteristic spin-out on sweeping curve number five and falling from the track.
Race 4: Lightning - Electric Edge Two of the racers who pushed the course most aggressively were swallowed by the high-speed half-pipe and were forced to retire from the race. While Don Juan CherryTempo vows to return in the next race, Avaya Samex (MaxFrost)'s team was forced to call it quits due to pilot injury.
To the race itself: many racers played it carefully, sizing up the rest of the field on natural racing prowess. While most of the racers were able to navigate the Mute City track successfully, one daring pilot, Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang (discrider) crashed after a miscalculated turn at too high a speed. With the impact to his machine and injury to the pilot, it looks like he may be missing out on the rest of the season.
Not all racers were able to make it through the entire course, however. Nosferatu Neptune had to make an early exit after interference from another racer; but at least he fared better than Player Two (JPants), whose machine the Lickety Split was battered by attacks. It looks like Player Two will not be playing for the rest of this season, and has withdrawn participation from all remaining races.
Good evening, race fans, to tonight's report on the inagural race of the F-Zero preliminary league. The brand new Mute City track "Dream's Gateway" saw the start to many a racer's career, and the end of a dream for others. Among those who had their hopes dashed early was the pilot of the Blue Sky, Jesse Pinkman (ObiFett). Shortly before the race's start, his crew reported his withdrawl from the circuit - though details of his exit from the league are unknown at this time.
Interestingly, one racer, Gadget Hackwrench (Gizzy), did not even make it to the starting line. When it came to board the machines to move to the starting line, the pilot had apparently left the racing facilities and nobody's been able to make contact with her since. Race judges have disqualified Gadget from participation in the rest of the season due to her absence, so even if she does pop back up, she'll have to wait until next time to try again. Best of luck, kiddo!
The track wasn't the only trouble in today's race. Pilot Dack Janiels (Trust) suddenly withdrew from the grand prix for unspecified reasons and did not participate in todays race.
And by differentiated, I mean in the narration. Not via color or any such thing.
IMO the best way for the village to win is by eliminating as many mafia as possible. Village infighting is going to lose us the game quickly.
The more mafia there are the better chance they have at winning. Since they only need one to actually win the others could be bashing folks and trying to make them crash.
So vote for lucedes if you think she is mafia. But if you are only mad that she is doing better than you then it is a waste.

I unfortunately have to strongly agree with this.
Is it because you want to be number #1, hate lucedes, hate agreeing with beldam or a little from column a,b and c?

Max Frost is the only iffy one, but the narration goes out of it's way to state
Two of the racers who pushed the course most aggressively were swallowed by the high-speed half-pipe and were forced to retire from the race
Notice "THEY PUSHED THE COURSE" . It seems strange that Blarney would differentiate Jpants's elimination from the others for no reason.
Tuning for more speed has an inherent crash risk, increased by anyone trying to wreck you. Just plain going fast creates a risk of crashing. Some people (schuss on Day 1?) have just had bad luck.
The roll for a one-race elimination versus total wreck is based mostly on Body and how much Boost people were using, from the look of things.

All of the above :P
Although when writing it I was mostly thinking of wanting to win the race.
Assuran for reasons mentioned before. Last minute jump on gizzy accompanied by obligatory statement. And he is doing well.
The trust wagon could very well have been an attempt to make sure we didn't follow the perceived Gizzy trend. Willing to switch to Sane if he actually shows up, if he doesn't he'll die to inactivity, I believe?

I actually agree with Bedlam and will vote for Questionably Sane .
There is something fishy going on.
Here's a hint, for those of us who built fast cars (boost), we can't handle worth shit. Ze Grip, I have none. Hence the fact I went super conservative last night was more than likely attacked, and then finished next to last.
If you think I'm mafia, attack me. I won't finish high.

I'd be happy to vote off everyone in front of me, but since she's dominantly in first, I'd rather get her, and she's the most likely wagon to be accepted by everyone since literally everyone should want her gone (unless she's mafia in which case there are some other mafia members that wouldn't).
All dependent on if we actually get rid of mafia.
There are likely 5 left.
If there's a couple people out in the lead, if they're mafia then mafia win, and if they're village they're irrelevant because the mafia kill them.
why do you think they have two kills?
what in the narration indicates such?
Nothing, but nothing also indicates that it's regular crashing (the kills are not described or annotated particularly differently), and the odds of that many eliminations are slim (as I said before).
But we do have eliminations that are differentiated , so :rotate:
Crashes
Attacked by Players
Votes
The more mafia there are the better chance they have at winning. Since they only need one to actually win the others could be bashing folks and trying to make them crash.
So vote for lucedes if you think she is mafia. But if you are only mad that she is doing better than you then it is a waste.
I unfortunately have to strongly agree with this.

Notice "THEY PUSHED THE COURSE" . It seems strange that Blarney would differentiate Jpants's elimination from the others for no reason.
Is it because you want to be number #1, hate lucedes, hate agreeing with beldam or a little from column a,b and c?
Tuning for more speed has an inherent crash risk, increased by anyone trying to wreck you. Just plain going fast creates a risk of crashing. Some people (schuss on Day 1?) have just had bad luck.
The roll for a one-race elimination versus total wreck is based mostly on Body and how much Boost people were using, from the look of things.
All of the above :P
Although when writing it I was mostly thinking of wanting to win the race.

I think he is being coached by mafia. Also he didn't answer my PM which is just rude.
The trust wagon could very well have been an attempt to make sure we didn't follow the perceived Gizzy trend. Willing to switch to Sane if he actually shows up, if he doesn't he'll die to inactivity, I believe?
There is something fishy going on.
Here's a hint, for those of us who built fast cars (boost), we can't handle worth shit. Ze Grip, I have none. Hence the fact I went super conservative last night was more than likely attacked, and then finished next to last.
If you think I'm mafia, attack me. I won't finish high.

Yes. That aside, if he doesn't vote or post twice today. He will die. Unless I missed a post or vote yesterday.
