Guys, don't ever get into a drunken planking competition

This advice comes to you from the cradle of agony that is my abdomen

Eyes kinda crossed while reading this, saw "plankton dunking competition", was intrigued

Private cabs exist already in the form of car service/livery cabs

There's nothing stopping someone from making a livery service that uses an app to dispatch cabs.

many livery drivers own their own business. they own a car and a license and insurance and handle their marketing and appointments themselves. they lack the resources to make an app and so forth.

the ones who formed the backbone of uber mostly used it as a job-finder in between their scheduled appointments. the drivers i talked to loved it and the cars were super baller!

now granted black car uber is a lot more expensive and something of a different beast from uber x, but it basically represents the uber model that some of the complaints are demanding - commercially licensed, insured drivers with a tech app for deployment.

3.5mm male-to-male stereo cable. Length is mostly based on preference, but I like 3 feet for cars. This one is probably fine.

Buy one that will allow you to drive for UberX so that I can use you as an argument against all the Uber haters.

But seriously two things. Firstly aside from being laughably in ergonomic the L85A2 is a good bucking gun. And secondly my G&G L85A2 is a fucking beast that out ranges everything except snipers.

It just doesn't do single shot so well...

Or shoot NATO standard ammo if it's one of the pre-H&K redesign. And it will do single shot just fine. Wack it on the barrel and sometimes it will let out a random shot.

I'm talking about the airsoft one. Single shot on less than an 11.1v LiPo will fuck the gear box. But batteries that highly charged gradually kill the gun so...

water-added means you get less for your monies! my precious monies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i should eat better =/

this only helps if there's an equivalent alternative tho

for instance sometimes i can get crazy cheap boneless skinless chicken thighs (like well under 2 bucks a pound)

and they're water added which is a little bit of a rip but the only non-water added version we sell is like the free range hormonal free etc etc

and the base price is so much higher that the weight differential is shit on multiple times

yeah, it's not that much per lb. something like less than 5%.

though i love when chicken is advertised as hormone free. all chicken has to be according to the FDA, i'm p sure.

I've always meant to see what the cost of boneless vs bone-in meats is at my local supermarket. Boneless is of course more expensive per pound but once you factor out the weight of the bone how does it stack up. Like, I would usually go bone in for roasts if it's actually any cheaper per lb of meat since the bones are usually huge and trivial to remove and it's better overall but deboning chicken breasts is a pain the ass and if the price is comparable boneless forever.

bone has a lot of flavor also if you cook the meat while the bone is still in. i'll often buy boneless for convenience but when i buy bone-in i'm always reminded of how much tastier it is

The sync to ipod thing I've seen is an audio port and a usb port right next to each other that you have to get a proprietary cable to use with. If it's bluetooth though, it'd be super easy to sync to a phone. What year, make / model / trim level?

Saw a story on SpaceX's holiday party, and thought I'd share a story from a friend who worked there about why they don't hold them offsite anymore. The last time they did, the end result was all SpaceX employees being banned from all Marriott Hotels; turns out 'Elon buying out the entire contents of the bar' combined with people who party as hard as they work tends to result in significant property damage.

Cabs and livery are different animals. Medallions allow you to pick up fares from the street. Livery fares need to be arranged in advance. Before smartphones, arranged in advance required a human dispatcher and other inefficient shit that made cabs the way to be.

Yeah in NYC there's two types of cabs: Yellow cabs and Livery cabs. Yellow cabs are heavily restricted: They have to pick you up, they have to meter your ride in the city, they can't refuse to go anywhere in the 5 boroughs, etc. They need extremely expensive medallions to operate. Livery cars are basically limos. They can't legally pick you up without you making an appointment(they bend this rule all the time) but they're free to set pricing and such. Livery licenses are easier and cheaper to get but there are some restrictions.
