for me when it comes to the spaceship, keep the front going on the same line and have bits at the back flapping around, like an old air plane, it's not correct physics wise but if you're trying to represent a rickety old spaceship then look at old aircraft for inspiration
ND- Daw thanks, that means a lot coming from you. I actually just had my site go down and am in the middle of switching to a new service. So unfortunately, no, right now I don't have a site. I'll have one up soon though.
Here's another GoT lunch time sketch from yesterday that I spent some time on after work. It got a little crazy. The Eyrie in the Vale.
God, getting a natural / vaguely interesting looking pose on a character is such a pain. I'll have to set aside some time to do proper research and find some good sources on this down the line.
@obelisk you are on the right track.
here we go... watch the vehicles in the 101 dalmation car chase for some reference with the vibration I'm talking about. its not quite spastic, but there is enough to know they are piles, but you can still make out the design easy enough. a lot of it is probably terrain vibration, but I think it'd transfer over to the space ship well enough.
Went to a Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School meet for the first time last night! Here are two of the pages I did.
Sketches were pencil on paper, colors were done in Manga Studio 5 on the Surface Pro 3. I need to go to life drawing sessions more, especially with the tablet. Such a great way to study color!
edit* Whoa that sketch page is kinda big. I put it under a spoiler tag.
ahh! I've been working on a videogame and learning how to program in java. Which means I haven't really sat down and drawn in a long time, but I'm getting back into it! I'm at the part where I have a bunch of art assets and animations to do, so I'll def be posting more frequently!

Stuff from the sketchbook.
Ive been using markers and colored pencils a lot lately. Ive been playing with the idea of getting these chibi style drawing utensils as a tattoo. I would love to hear whats working and what isn't.
The Barcode one i did for my brother for christmas. Everything else is just a quick doodle.
Some warmup face sketches from photos. I normally use quite a lot of this kind of hatchy markmaking when working in pencil, but drawing on tablets has always been a little goofy for me. I'm playing around with deliberately including it. It's something I'd like to employ a bit more with actual paintings, something in the vein of Leyendecker.

Basically, the challenge is to draw a class from This Tumblr of offbeat DnD style classes.
I decided to make a full party.
And this one is the second I drew, but my favorite so far...
BEHOLD!
The Goat Ranger.
I just really like that goat.
