Question:
I know last year we (my group of attendees) had some difficulty finding a place to play, as well as we like to game late. Are we allowed to take games back to our hotel room to play overnight (With a PAX badge on the coordinating days)?
This isn't official word, but I would strongly guess no.
I've seen info about miniatures wargaming tournaments, does anyone know if there is space for more casual "pick-up" games as well? I'm a Warmachine/Hordes player and would love to bring some models and play without having to commit to a full day tournament.

You can take the game to hotels. Olive 8 should have plenty of space on the 3rd Floor though.
We encourage you to get the game back by midnight. But there always seems to be some folks that check a game out all weekend and bring it back at the last minute. Those brave few are very publicly thanked in front of everyone in Tabletop HQ for finally bringing the game back.
Anyway, we have your id... we know you are coming back.

After the tournaments and minis demos have ended for the day in the Olive 8 ballroom, those tables will remain as 4' x 6' tables, and can be used for pickup Miniatures games. Evening is your best bet for this.

Thanks I really appreciate your answer on the question. And I'm glad we have that flexibility. Of coarse if you have my ID I have to choose between off hours gaming and beer. Haha.

To be fair, Membino asked about loaner armies. They *might* surface and be available for use, but we make no promises. Check with the checkout library in the Azure room of the Olive 8 - if we do have loaner armies, that's where they'll be to be checked out. Again though, no promises.

The way he phrased "very publicly thanked", it's my guess that it's not actually...
