Olive Garden is fine. I like when they have their promotion where you have a dinner there you pick from a list, and then you pick another meal from the list and at the end of the meal they give it to you prepared to be microwaved the next day with instructions.

Man remember when Fazoli's was awesome in the early 2000's? Their sandwiches used to be way bigger and that's was only half, you could get a full. Also extra breadsticks would be brought around every five minutes. We used to go in and order a drink and eat tons of free delicious breadsticks.
I don't know if 7-11 still does the chicken caesar wraps, but despite them being 'gas station' food, I remember them being delicious. Although my memory was probably clouded by the fact I had spent a whole day trapped in an airport/airplane with nothing to eat. Anything might have tasted like heaven at that point.
You're in BC right @Muzzmuzz ? If you're in Vancouver or on The Island the sandwiches are brought in very early in the morning daily to each store. If you're in the rest of the province or in Powell River they are made nightly in store. We still make the Chicken Caesar wrap in my store even though it's been delisted since it's so popular. The rest of the Country and even most of the States are the same. 7-Eleven is really working on the fresh food by either having it sent daily from food centres or made in store.

... I meant to say McDonalds coffee is pretty gross.
I'm so tired today.
The McCafe was decent in a pinch when I was in Japan.
I am not sure if it varies in america.
But the latte was passable.
McDonald's coffee is pretty good if you're not a coffee snob that requires hand-ground exotic beans and Himalayan, glacial spring water heated to precise temperature and poured slowly through a filter over the course of an hour.
apparently, their food sales are shit in the U.S. and they're thinking about going full bore on the coffee
I've seen it in their advertising, that's for sure. I can't remember the last McDonald's commercial I saw that didn't feature something from their McCafe line.
Food wise though, I think McDonald's shot themselves right in the foot by trying to diversify their menu too much instead of doubling down on the top sellers and improving quality so they'd be closer to equal footing with their competition. I have essentially no reason to go to McDonald's to eat an actual meal.
Oh, and I tried a McRib for the first time earlier this year. I thought it was *awful*. Never ever ever ever ordering one of those ever again.
Really both MCd's and Burger king shot themselves after buckling on their cheap stuff
Burger king after they got rid of the buck double and Mcd's trying to be upper level fast food
Really it won't work the only reason I went to MCd's is to get a cheap nasty grease pit of a cheeseburger or to burger king to get some greasy circle of meat in a bun falling apart
I quite liked the Mushroom and Swiss whopper they had recently or that Texas style Whopper [it was a sub style roll with 2 patties A 1 sauce and grease} Neither are on the menu now
I remember the Texas Whopper fondly. For the short time it existed, it was the sole reason I would go to Burger King.
Same with the Carl's Jr Bourbon Burger. Some people argued that it was too sweet, and these people were probably correct, but I fucking love sweet and tangy sauces on a hamburger.

Now you are lucky if they show up once.
At the one out here you have to go get them. They are unlimited though

McDonald's is basically 90s Hardee's with coffee I guess.

I really like Burger King.
A whopper, some chicken fries, and some regular fries from BK is a good time for me.
They've got pretty decent bacon for their sandwiches too, as far as fast food go's.

I want to remind everyone that Hardee's was so diversified that you only went there if nobody could agree on anything, except that they wanted biscuits. Then it got rid of all the fluff as was all "burgers or nothing" and their campaign slogan was how the last place you go for a burger will become the first.
And Hardee's is definitely my favorite fast food burgers. Five guys isn't quite fast food.

I am continually stunned by the sheer variety of fast food brands and their availability in america
sometimes I just want to do a coast to coast US drive where I stop whenever I see a fast food looking place I haven't eaten at before and try it out

A Hardee's has been the only fast food place in the town closest to me almost since I was born, so there old super broad menu was pretty great back in the day.
Their burgers they have now are really good, as are their chicken tenders. They can be kinda pricey though.

I used to order coffee from McDonald's when I was waiting for my ride after rehearsals back in my amdram days.
When you're standing around at half past eleven in November, it's good coffee.
apparently, their food sales are shit in the U.S. and they're thinking about going full bore on the coffee
Their coffee is better than dunkin' donuts coffee, and if that's true about doubling down on coffee and breakfast, dunkin should be running scared. (DD has a stranglehold on New England. I don't know how people can stomach the coffee or the food, it's Real Bad.)
Yesterday I went to Carl Jr's and thought about getting the Jalapeño poppers. The guy at the counter said Sonic has better ones.
Now a joke about Sonic the manager at the one near to me and across the street from work will freak out if you order a burger at 6am
She will really try to talk you out of it by suggesting healthy alternatives.

Yeah, thanks
For the record we did that like twice. Their sandwiches were really good so I got them a lot.

I did not think you had to as that is what a lot of the morning cooking shows and such showed me?
It was a matter of taste?
You have failed me for the last time.
Still really odd
I remember from 4 years ago MC'ds handed out try a smoothie for free promo
They ran out in 15 minutes

Well raising their prices continually over the past 5 years isn't helping.

caramel twix are the worst though.
Actually so are the newer version of Peanut butter twix because the cookie is chocolate instead of normal.
If I could go back to the 90s and bring something forward with me it'd be the old PB Twix.
HAPPY DAYS!
Now I just gotta find somewhere that even caries them.
