"Diable" (or "djab") in Voodoo refers to a spirit and carries a somewhat different connotation than 'devil' or 'demon' in more common contexts.

Lackadaisy Cats features cats prominently but is in no way lackadaisical.

    Like bullet ants?

    Bullet ants, man.

Bullet ants will make you kill yourself.

I hear they are at the top of the Schmidt Sting Pain Scale

Dammit, I thought Bullet ants were terrifying before the movie came out!

Reminder that Tracy has said that the siblings are total posers regarding voodoo. It really makes the whole scene funny.

I was so happy that they referenced the Schmidt scale in ant-man

It was a very good excuse to have a little bug nerd-out

I doubt that the combined forces of all the world's armies could.

I was trolling through related videos from that bullet ant discussion and of course LA Beast also did it

He also has a video where he tries to redo the sodium acetate crystallizing around the hand thing, but messes it up by using laboratory grade sodium acetate which gave him a chemical burn

    so, the human race

Marty: The future, it's where you're going?
Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

You know what would be great? If the native Brazilians made up the bullet ant gloves exclusively for dumb white tourists.

Funny that this strip fails the Amazagirl Test. You know: "When two men are talking, they are not talking about Amazagirl."

Thunderstruck has a cool sword, if Gail encounters God, God will be cut, we get it (That might be a real possibility in this comic, though). I don't think we needed a four-strip flashback to tell us that, though.

Because the Japanese were the only people to invent folding steel, and it wasn't because their native iron ore was a bunch of crap or their smelting technique terrible due to lack of decent fuel, nun uh.

do you honestly believe a webcomic showing off a katana has even the slightest chance of not being japanophile wankery

That is just so much goddamn bullshit about katanas, though I guess considering at this point the comic was written a decade or so ago I can sort of understand. But samurai were not venerated warriors, they were mercenaries. Their weapons were not sacred, they were held with as much reverence as any other tool a mercenary used. A "warrior's soul" meant jack shit.

even if i liked the comic i literally could not care less about her fuckin katana. it's not even a story. it's just, some guy decided to give it to her. and a lot of words got said.

also i'm kinda starting to learn how to appreciate demon for how it clearly does not give a fuck about anything anymore and probably never did.
