I don't think artists need to be chameleons to be great. Monet's paintings are all in the same style. He didn't re-invent himself every few years. And he's brilliant.
i literally can't watch trailer park boys because maybe the second or third episode i saw was the one where bubbles' shed burns down and i was completely heartbroken
Oh nooooooo. Watch more. You get to so much more awesome Bubbles stuff like an episode where he starts looking after big kitty which is actually a cougar living under j-roc's trailer.

like, it's such a goofy show but seeing how destroyed he was and the shot of the burnt bubble machine barely working having been burnt to shit in the end credits
i don't know if i was having a rough day at the time i saw it or something or if it was just genuinely that awful a thing but i went to my room, buried my face in a pillow, and tried not to let myself be heard crying

He stumbled with Darjeeling Limited but has since gone up and up. About Darjeeling though... actually as a guy who is not close to his brothers I appreciated it a lot on an emotional level.
the only Wes Anderson film i've seen so far is Grand Budapest Hotel but i loved it and should really see more of them
Life Aquatic is definitely my least favorite
The others are pretty darn likeable. Especially Mr. Fox.
You just gotta pace yourself out a bit on his style though.

Anyway, the two hours you had allocated for jerkin' it (we all do that right) tomorrow should be spent watching Grand Budapest Hotel. I'm allocating my jerkin' it time to The Martian instead.
so my favorite lol champion requires (to play her well against evenly matched solo laners, anyway) some specific frame-wonkery. due to her passive, her combo damage is maximized by auto-attacking between spells (even non-damaging spells). further, some of her spell animations can be canceled (or else aborted entirely) by prepping or interrupting them with other spells, or by clicking off-target and then back on with super speed.
i am not a super amazing player but i have played hundreds of games with her and i recently pulled off a ridiculously situational, precise move that got everyone in the game to be like OOOOOOOOOO in all-chat. i felt like a god.
I find Wes Anderson's style obnoxiously mannered, and loathed both Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. I haven't seen his other work, though, so maybe Moonlight Kingdom and Grand Budapest were fucking fantastic. Hard to motivate myself to find out tho.
/snip/
Part of the reason why it's hard to motivate myself to find out more about his other work is that, when it comes to those earlier movies, everything I absolutely hated about them seemed to be the very same things that other people loved: the baroque visual composition, the precocious children, the tonal swings, what we might unkindly call the unbearable tweeness of being, etc. So when people tell me that his other movies were great, I am become mistrust.
nah it's cool you don't have to watch things I like for our love to endure

In the HD Remake, if not for the actual themesong, you'd be forgiven for thinking the Moon Theme is the themesong
