Oh, something that was revealed in today's ep about the war
The rebellion lasted for a thousand years, apparently?
Guess Amethyst was probably out and about when it ended, then.
I mean...
We already knew the rebellion lasted a long time and again, Amethyst has beep pretty explicitly confirmed to have popped out after it ended.
But Peridot mentioned that Amethyst's hole looked about 500 years newer than everyone else's, and if Rose was made on Earth (pretty directly implied by Bismuth), that means she was among the original gems to emerge from the Prime Kindergarten. Therefore, Amethyst is only about 500 years younger than her.
Also where was it confirmed that Amethyst emerged afterwards?
interesting that Pink Diamond has the fewest planets but also the largest halo.
Back to the Moon
in the actual mural seen in the episode, it looks like Pink Diamond is holding her Halo.... that makes me think she controlled Homeworld, maybe?
My guess is that if any Diamond controls Homeworld, it's White Diamond. In part due to how she's holding a single big 'planet' in front of her with both hands, and in part because she's the last (living) diamond to be revealed and thus will probably end up being the most important for meta storytelling reasons.
It just occurred to me that all the Gems have diamonds on their uniforms, and (besides wearing their own outfits), and the crystal gems replace them with stars.
Peridot needs to update her wardrobe already

i think she'll need to get poofed first. Gem clothes are part of their bodies and refelct their current identity. To change, a gem must be reborn. To be reborn, a gem must die.

Not always!
Looks like shapeshifting to me. Like how Amethyst can change her clothes when shapeshifting.
in fact, i think the only time we saw gems wearing actual clothes might be the Beach ep and Pearl's Flightsuit.

It'd be amusing if she took a decidedly Peridot approach to the matter, and simply 'borrows' some of Steven's star shirts long enough that he gifts her with a similar one.
man, I really, really hope someone finds and retrieves the Ruby squad.
Sure, they're enemies.
But nobody deserves to spend an effectively infinite lifespan drifting in space with no ability to do anything, until such a time as they're killed by a meteor or a star.

I really am surprised that they didn't go get them.
I don't know where these leaks for unaired episodes keep coming from, and I don't want to say anything spoilery, so I'll just say I'm looking forward to the reaction to Kindergarten Kid on Friday.
Compassion has always been one of the major themes of Steven Universe. Time and time again we've seen Steven defuse situations and turn enemies into friends through the power of compassion. He was even able to defeat The Cluster, Homeworld's super weapon, just by talking to it.
Now we have a season finale devoted to the idea that compassion isn't always enough; that sometimes your enemies will always be your enemies, and you have to make hard choices to protect yourself. Steven has to toss Eyeball into the vacuum of space to save his own life. And this comes right after he was unable to save Jasper, and after he was forced to poof Bismuth. It's been a rough few days for the little guy.
The last few episodes have been a huge challenge to Steven's worldview. I wonder what comes next, thematically.
going by their logo and the murals Its pretty clear to me White Diamond is the top ,blue and yellow are "equals" and Pink was the lowest ranked possibly newest Diamond. Its likely diamonds are rarely formed and Pink was literally justvstarting when Rose rebeled
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

I agree with the sentiment and principle of that. That's a terrible fate.

Some countries have CN schedule bombs where 2 episodes air on one day while elsewhere it's spread out one per day. For example, Monday's first episode in America aired Sunday elsewhere, but was part of a full half hour of new episodes (2) in America when it did air on Monday
At least it's good to know that CN's schedule is ridiculous everywhere and that it's not just one country's division that has no clue about pacing?
I figure it was hard enough finding one body drifting through space, and now the other five have had even more time to drift farther away.

Holy shit, I saw the clips on YouTube and just...

Man, I really love how the story has played out with Steven that season.
Steven feels he can make friends with any of his enemies, and for the most par he's right!
Then Jasper comes along and he keeps giving her opportunities but eventually she gets corrupted. Even then Steven wants to heal her and you know he feels like if he healed her she would see the errors of her ways.
But this time Steven heals someone who is an enemy but a pretty ineffective one at that and he heals them and that is the exact cause of them wanting to kill him. He healed them and it just made it worse. That's gotta crush him.
Also I noticed Steven actually said die which surprised me, I thought the whole shattered thing was a way to get around the censors on that but apparently not.
"Die" was used all the way back in Rose's Scabbard.

Death hasn't been an issue on Cartoon Network shows for a while. These are mainly PG shows.

I'm expecting a brief, "We tried, Steven, but we couldn't find them." from Garnet or something. I'd be disappointed if they just move on without saying anything about it.
Did anyone else think the song playing at the end seemed off? its almost like they wanted to cover what what was being said...I wonder if the censors got involved for some reason.

there's not really a joke???
Pink colonized worlds (morning)
Yellow set them up? (Noon)
White maintained (evening)
Blue oversaw their end (night)
Also where was it confirmed that Amethyst emerged afterwards?

On the other hand, if there are crimes that sorta warrant it, then I think maybe trying to shiv a kid in cold blood is probably among them.
But yeah, the Ruby were great, and I hope that's not the end of them.

How much you wanna bet that one of them lands on Earth and Steven finds her all alone and it's the saddest fuckin' thing in the universe?
I wouldn't mind never seeing Killy mcEyeball again but at least 3 of the other 4 need to reappear eventually
