    That background looks surreal.

This is what I like about Japan. The color. Need more colorful buildings in America.

Also our offices need more color. Everything is grey and tan.

Are you sure you're not dead after a life of villainy? Because that right there sounds like a tiny little piece of Hell.

It's ok acculy...it's kind of heartening that I was able to sustain 3 straight days of running for cumulative 20+ miles and feel relatively good afterwards (I mean, weak legs, but no injuries/pain/anguish). It's no marathon training, but it's a good sign that maybe I CAN handle marathon training

Of course you can, stop fretting. You could finish a marathon right now (well next week) if you really wanted to.

do utilikilts even smash anything or abolish gender norms though?

they are marketed as being for manly men who value comfort and utility, not as pretty skirts for any gender.

Are pantsuits marketed as rugged and manly? (this was rhetorical, because nope, they sure aren't nor is any clothing aimed at women)

Why are you applying an obvious double standard to your smashing?

Uh I don't think pantsuits smash many gender norms either. but pants are seen as traditionally male, whereas kilts aren't seen as traditionally female.

but obvious double standards are characteristic of patriarchy. men are much freer in their choices than women, and their choices are less likely to be seen as reflective of politics or challenges to norms.

I don't hate on utilikilts, but I think it's silly to see them as feminist statements somehow.

dual channel access is slightly faster

if it caps out at 16, you may as well just get 2x4 and then upgrade the existing 2x2 to 2x4 later if you really want. the marginal benefit of 12->16 is pretty low though

If the motherboard is max 16GB, there's no reason to not just get 4GB sticks, unless you just aesthetically would prefer only two of the four slots filled.

And personally I would just go ahead and get all 16GB right now because DDR3 will become harder to get sooner or later and so you might as well get all the RAM you could possibly use in the computer now while it's widely available.
