*shits all over utilikilts and people who wear them because it's not smashing or abolishing in a way that I personally like and even worse it's not all about me*
i think we all agree that only pretty, feminine guys should be allowed to wear skirts and dresses
Yeah we wouldn't want to abolish gender norms in a way that accidentally expands what is acceptable for masculinity.
We just want to keep it confined to a little box and light it on fire and watch it burn.
yesterday after my test i was like well, i will walk around a bit to figure out what to do with my day
and i wandered into this store in south street seaport with a bunch of made in usa stuff and some cool random gift things and clothes
and they had jackets on sale
and i saw this jacket and the weather is starting to turn
so now i own a cotton red flight jacket and it's fuckin awesome cuz treat yo self

These are the new, everyday practices of life on a future seabed
Today was supposed to be a rest day but it's a holiday tmrw and I wanted to leave tonight open for possible overconsumption of alcohol and decided to push Monday's 5 mi run a day early but I also ran 5 on Friday and with the 12 mi yesterday I just did 22 mi in three days which is more than I've ever done in such a short time span
In short
I'm dying squirtle

BLDGBLG is just a treasure trove of cool sentences
Shorts are fine in lots of areas of the U.S. too. Certain areas have a huge hang-up about them though like it's a form of serious assault against the public. Mostly an east coast thing I have observed. No one is California, Washington, or Alabama gives a shit if you wear cargo shorts. At worst they might think you unfashionable.

It's not even an East Coast thing. I grew up by the ocean and people wore shorts during the summer. You sometimes get some really status conscious people trying to imitate the Boston Brahman but even they wore shorts out on the Cape.

do utilikilts even smash anything or abolish gender norms though?
they are marketed as being for manly men who value comfort and utility, not as pretty skirts for any gender.

I used to wear cargo pants a lot as a youth, they were pretty useful
don't really understand objections to cargo shorts or utilikilts
sure maybe they aren't the nicest looking or anything but I guess if they're comfortable then w/e

Are pantsuits marketed as rugged and manly? (this was rhetorical, because nope, they sure aren't nor is any clothing aimed at women)
Why are you applying an obvious double standard to your smashing?

Other loan words like tape -> tejp and wire -> vajer are of course fine because we've had those for 50+ years and are thus perfectly natural.
It's good that we finally put this long standing issue to rest. Good work people.
*bangs gavel*

I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
It might be still good. Only one way to find out.

This is also uncharitable!
But not unreasonable given the vitriol.

As a fellow old,
i've bought some neato clothes lately
i stayed up too late last night watching garbage and i guess hmm do i have time for gym before dim sum... i think so
Think of all the healthy oils.
i take comfort in not feeling like my phone or wallet might fall out of flimsy ass short pockets if i sit down
so yes
yes they are
And easy to wear!
but my pockets on my shorts are good and my phone and wallet and headphones always fit fine in them
hm
i have established that i cannot sleep past ~7 am and i went to bed too late last night for not going out or anything
very foolish
if you're just gonna eat and watch tv buddy, do it in the morning instead
I can do that.
I do not understaaaand
I wake up every 45min or so starting around 5 every morning
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
twas a simple question about why they were actually more comfortable than other shorts
i thought you were one of those sleeping people

I was until like a month ago?? I don't know what the deal is
I mean I usually wake up with the sun but just for long enough to briefly revel in how comfy I am before crashing for another like 6 hours
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!

Seems untrue
