I know some of y'all can't stand it, but Gotham's version of the Mad Hatter was really good.
Annnnnnd @ "Rorshach Kringle", I know, I know...
I think he's a great version of the Mad Hatter, other than the whole "I wanted to bang my sister" dealie.

Superman Reborn spoilers
They're doing Superman Red/Superman Blue. The New 52 Superman was apparently the "red energy" and this Superman is blue. It explains how they tagged Superwoman as a Reborn tie-in. The issue ends with Superman absorbing the red energy and looking like New 52 Superman.
Peter Tomasi has been doing a Grant Morrison thing lately while still keeping his own accessible storytelling. He just did the Multiplicity storyline, and Reborn has been about Mxyzptlk doing meta-commentary on Lois and Clark always being so important no matter the universe (which was also another way Superwoman tied in; Lana was arguing with "ghosts" of Lois and Clark in her head asking why they're always so damn important)
I've just been loving all the Superman stuff since Rebirth and I'm so fucking glad about it
Edit: also
Mxyzptlk mentions That Superman was split into two. I'm interested in how they explain that since the current explanation is this Superman is from the pre-Flashpoint universe.
A year ago I would have thought they didn't think things through, but they've been playing the long game with this (New 52 Superman exploding into red energy, current Superman leaving a blue energy hand print in the ground in the Rebirth special while Mr.
Oz tells him he and his family aren't what they seem) and The Watchmen setup

It's weird to trust DC again!
i stopped reading superman long enough to be a little confused by what all is being revealed but, damn now im going to go and buy all the rest of the issues i missed to catch up.
Hmmm...@Keith is Jurgens the longest running Superman writer at this point? At this rate he seems poised to be the most influential at least.
I have no clue. I think the major stuff right now has been spearheaded by Tomasi, although a lot is also picking up threads from Geoff Johns

Superman Reborn spoilers/theory
When Mxyzptlk says Superman was "split in two" he also says something like "even when hope and optimism were split" on a panel of the New 52 launch Justice League fighting Darkseid.
I'm wondering if the reveal will be that this "classic" Superman isn't from a different universe, but the pre-Flashpoint future and he got "split" post-Flashpoint. They can even go meta and say the young angry New 52 Superman was "the Man of Steel" and this one is "the Man of Tomorrow" (which is what I hope they call MoS2 if they actually go with Vaughan and his wanting to make Superman bright and optimistic on screen)
“According to sources close to the production, the screenplay for The Batman is being rewritten from the ground up, so it’s entirely possible that everything we’ve heard about the film’s story will no longer be in play.” reports Slashfilm.
Earlier drafts of the project’s screenplay, written by Ben Affleck (“Argo,” “Live By Night”), Geoff Johns (“Smallville,” “Wonder Woman”) and Chris Terrio (“Argo,” “Batman V Superman”) reportedly saw Batman facing off against Deathstroke.

Why the hell is Chris Terrio at the center of of all these movies?

The Wild Storm #2 kept up the momentum from the first issue and, so far, fully set the stage for what the book appears to be about. A Cold War between 3 ultra secret sci fi organizations. Skywatch, the most advanced of all, based in space, run by Henry Bendix, has Zealot as it's go to enforcer. HALO led by Jacob Marlowe which is a more traditional black ops outfit with Grifter as the head of operations. And IO led by Miles Craven which is a cyber punk-y corporate type job.
The big inciting moment is
Engineer showing up on the scene, having made her armor from stolen IO tech while working for them. Which was in turn made from stolen Skywatch tech that they were keeping hidden. Aaaaand she showed up saving the life of Jacob Marlowe while he was in the middle of nearly being assassinated by IO. Very Burn After Reading.
It's very much a thick, complicated sci fi spy story and Ellis really seems to be going for a long build with this one (now with an official commitment of sticking through it unlike some of his past work) and I am way, way into it.

100% chance they are retooling this movie to be about facing off against Jared Leto
Not the Joker, mind you.
Bateman just beats the shit out of Jared Leto for two hours.

Well.
Shit.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
At this point, why not just get Paul Dini or the DC animation people to write their scripts? Who cares if they don't have experience writing for live action? What do they have to lose? At this point, they could use a script from any of the animated shows or movies and make a better movie than what they have.

There's some sort of writing guild issue that prevents that I've heard
Even though Dini has written some bad stuff, I don't think any of it was even close to as bad as BvS or Suicide Squad. At the very least, he can get the characters and emotions right even if his story is bad.
Aquaman pushed back two months to Xmas 2018, the week before Mary Poppins Returns
Won't it also be going up against the Han Solo movie
And apparently the animated Miles Morales film
Waaaaait
Those are both Lord & Miller
They're going up against...themselves?
Yeah I cut that out of my original post because I thought I'd got that wrong, but nope they are going head to head with themselves on two potential barnstormers.
Oh, it seems Han Solo is slated for May 2018, not Christmas, which...yeah it's totally getting moved to Christmas isn't it?

this is completely unsurprising
I shouldn't find this insulting.
But it has nothing to do with kinda enjoying Wanted.

Can't wait to get home and read this and Super Sons.

That's fine as long as it's literally Jared Leto

Nope. Batman and The Flash are getting a crossover storyline in April. Something might get shown then perhaps?

Madhatter
I've cracked the code
Batman described him in the issue as "a mixture of arrogance and anxiety, like a nervous peacock" or something to that effect
So yeah it's totally intentional
