Apparently he did some remixes for Doom 2. Not many but goddamn this is good.
Two songs of the Persona Soundtrack that really stand out to me are the weapon shop theme and the victory theme. Both times these first started playing I paused the game and danced around my living room.
I especially love this one, the weapon shop theme, because of how it starts off kinda sinister but then pretty soon just breaks it down into the funkiest bass. It's kinda like when you walk into the weapon shop, it feels kinda sketchy but as soon as you open the shop menu the colors change and the shopkeeper looks a lot more friendly.

The P5 OST is some of the best stuff in video games
Wow, as someone without musical talent, that is fascinating to watch. Being able to watch the FF2 baseline and seeing how the notes are related spatially related helps me understand the actual composition a lot.

This is capitalized Very Good. Revali's theme is arguably the best in the game (or even the series) and the mix here takes it in a lot of interesting directions. Gives it an almost Harvest Moon 64 sort of feel.

fuck yeah the starcraft 1 terran themes are the BEST
they did a good job trying to capture the same feel with the SC2 terran themes too, but SC1 themes are still the best.
I couldn't find a version of this on youtube with Pascal's narration at the beginning, which is a real bummer. Those lines are inextricable from the song in my mind.
That enormous machine is an ancient weapon.
It was designed to help annihilate the androids, but it wound up going out of control.
I was part of the machines' network when it happened, so I remember it.
The moment it reached land, it went berserk and began attacking everything in sight.
No one could figure out how to stop it.
We eventually marooned it deep in the ocean, but it seems to be searching for a way back.
Slowly building myself a youtube playlist of game music for general listening purposes. Started off with a few that come to mind frequently but then started working backwards in chronological order of games I had played and adding 1-4 tracks that I liked from each game. Rules are a bit arbitrary, I've tended to favor songs with vocals since I'm probably a bit more likely to listen to those casually. Some games I went ahead and used the licensed songs because I associate those songs primarily with that game. And others I left them off, like radio songs from Mafia 3 (vs the credits song of Mafia 3 which I hadn't heard previously).
Anyway, up to 170 or so now. Will keep at it until I get tired of it. Working through stuff I played in 2015 currently. Game Music
Edit: Trailer music I'm kind waffling on. There's some music I listen to specifically because it was used in a game trailer, but it's not in the game itself.
Some Dark Souls ads come to mind, the MGSV trailer that used Elegia really got my attention. I did include The Witness trailer music because it's a good track, makes me think of the game, and the game has no real music of its own.
Going through the Assassin's Creed Syndicate soundtrack now. I liked the game, but not sure I really caught on to how good the soundtrack was. I'm really liking these.
