I need advice for steam games to suggest to a person who wants to try video games.

They said they liked the Crash bandicoot series and paper Mario.

    Costume Quest?

    Edit: Also maybe Snake Pass

Man had an awesome fucking afternoon. Slept in till 9 which was heaven, and then wife and I went to fancy ass Cool Springs for belated anniversary lunch and got Ghengis Grill because FUD.

Then we went to the old fancy liquor store that we used to go to and I met the Código tequila rep for the southeast who fell into that job when he got to hang out with the dude that invented Crocs (it was a hell of a story) but he's from my hometown in AL and we man crushed and traded numbers so I'mma cheat on my wife with him and bro out.

Also I made a fancy ass tequila cocktail just now and it's sublime.

    Life is good.

I'm going to take a controversial stance here: you shouldn't cheat on your wife.

    Portal.

That's one suggestion I've made so far. But other than that. One thing they said is ease is important so I think portal could be a roadblock.

If they're really into platformers, Ori and the Blind Forest is amazing, but it does have some difficult sequences. Shantae: Half Genie Hero is solid, but it's pure cheesecake, so that may put them off.

    FF7 is on steam right?

Telltale series might be a good call especially if they already like something like walking dead

    Grow Home is pretty fun.

Goat Simulator maybe? Neither really have "you lose" conditions.

I should also say the further away from anime the better. I have suggested a tell tale to see how that goes. Ori and the blind forest seems like a good call.

But yeah the game has to be introductory and kind of hand holdy if needed.

You know, I would take back everything bad I ever said about Elon Musk if his next project was building fission reactors.

Think about it, it all fits his MO. Take an existing technology that's considered too expensive or unpopular to invest big money into, build a sexy version of it, call it innovation, and bob's your uncle.

life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

Bastion is a good starter game because the narrator helps guide players.
