I picked it up because I had a sudden windfall and it looked pretty and sounded great
then it turned out that it's just a star wars-themed respawning engine
I'm really interested in the campaign in the new one but I don't think I have any more to gain from the multi
That's the plan for me just wait till it goes cheap and play it as the beta left that sour taste again
Not as sour as the previous battlefront since it carried over to this just playing it I felt why it's not that great and feels like the same BS in all those other shooters

Goddamit that took me waaaay too many reads to get
I had to chuckle when Obi-Wan talks about "a more civilized age" and it shows him decapitating a cyborg
May I note that this is probably one of the best lines in A New Hope as it implies that a lightsaber
a) takes considerable skill to use
b) is a weapon which does not kill indiscriminately (not in a "random" way)
c) and is probably intended for personal combat
Which at the same time implies a lot about the type of warrior who uses this kind of weapon!
I know that lightsabers were stripped of all their limitations in the prequels, but in the OT they seemed to fit this mold pretty well.

The primary use of a lightsaber by the Jedi in the movies is to defend against blaster bolts and sith attacks.
For defense.
And they are able to 'attack' through their defense by reflecting blaster bolts.
It makes it a unique weapon, to be honest!
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I never got why Bodhi wore those goggles if he was just a cargo pilot
I like to think they were never intended as part of his costume. He just showed up on set with a pair of old safety goggles he stole from a high school woodshop and nobody had the heart to tell him "no".

Isn’t that what Mickey Rourke did with the bird in Iron Man 2?

Star wars scoundrels is really good.
If you are looking for a sw heist book you need to read it

You know truck drivers often have to help load/offload their cargo? And Bodhi was hauling likely highly volatile cargo for the stardust project? Therefore, safety goggles.

Listening to the TFA score a lot lately (but I honestly haven’t gone that long without listening to it, ha). I really cannot wait to hear what Williams cooked up for TLJ. Does anybody know if he composed the music for the trailer? I have my doubts, but I was intrigued by the use of “Jedi Steps.” I wonder if it’ll become a new theme of sorts for Luke.

IIRC Jedi Steps is a combination of Luke's old and Rey's themes?

I can’t hear it...?
Edit: I should clarify. I know the Force theme (what plays when Luke stares at the sunset and what is also referred to as Ben Kenobi’s theme in the ANH liner notes) and Rey’s theme are similar to one another and share notes in a scale. But the piece “The Jedi Steps” is it’s own thing.
I rewatched TFA because I had some time to kill and Netflix recently put all the episodes up...and it actually lowered my expectations for TLJ.
While the parts with Starkiller base didn't take me out of the movie as the first time at the theatre because I knew what was coming there are a lot of parts that really don't hold up well for me. (sense of scale is still screwed up)
There's a bunch of clunky exposition dialogue. Poe Dameron's return feels not well thought out. Leia's and Rey's emotional connection is pretty unearned. The ending with R2 might have worked better as a stinger, it was too tacked on. Monsters on the freighter are just wasted screentime. Too many winks at the audience with fanservice. The Falcon has the physics as if made of a solid slab of steel which does not really gel with its design aesthetic.
Kylo is still the most interesting character and I actually enjoyed Han more than during the last viewing.

While I agree with you on a lot of this, I would still hold out hope for TLJ being a far better film. Rian Johnson is a far more competent scriptwriter and director.
But who knows! It could be a fucking disaster and I'd have egg on my face.

I haven't really thought about it but she's probably an important character

Goddamn
Reading this, Visceral was definitely too ambitious but they got fucked by EA

I'll take that over most movie trailers that spoil every beat of the film any day of the week.
that wasn't really what it looked like to me
