That covers Star Trek "Brain Bugs", small minor details that are picked up by later writers and result in the flanderisation of species and other stuff. An alien has a certain feature, therefore, all aliens of that speices have that feature. Even if the episode that introduced the alien was about that alien being different from it's species. The same thing happens to Star Wars too.

IIRC, Anzati had retractable face tentacles that go up your sinuses to get into your cranium, where it liquefies your brain and slurps it up (this is the "soup"). They also have hypnotic telepathic abilities or some nonsense to lure prey in.
They were basically just a terribly lame attempt to have draculas in the Star Wars EU without just straight-up being vampires.
It was really weird because they did it using the guy who was like, smoking a hookah in the cantina so it seemed to imply in retrospect that he was drinking soup through a very, very long straw.
Because whoever wrote that was a bad writer who didn't quite realize how dumb an entirely internal monologue where a guy refers to drinking brains as "drinking soup" as if he is being a Saturday morning villain double entendres-ing himself.

To be fair, the idea that every character on screen is a person isn't a bad one, it was just executed... not well.

Well yes, that would be the problem with the execution. You focus on the protagonist, because they are doing stuff you want to watch. Some people just don't do interesting things. But they are people.

That was one of the dumb stories I loved, because one of the things they had the might and all powerful SUPER ROBOT IG-88 DO was force the elevator doors close against the Emperor. And IG-88 was so confused when the doors magically started to open.

I always had the impression that IG-88 short was meant to be kind of a shaggy dog story. That is to say, that it's meant to be tongue in cheek and part of the humor is constantly narrating about how great IG-88 thinks it is, only to undermine that by what actually happens in story.

If it hadn't been for bad timing and lack of intel that he couldn't possibly know IG-88 would have co-opted the FRIGGIN DEATH STAR. With the power of the Death Star he would have had the capabilities to destroy planets and produce and transport an entire army. He would have been able to achieve his goal of scouring life from the galaxy at that point. Sure what actually happened was funny as shit, but it was a fluke. I don't think you realize how close he actually came to winning there.
My dad got his yearly royalty check from Kevin J Anderson because somehow those two old EU short story collections he wrote stories for are still selling.

You can get a lot of them on steam, with such cool stuff as... the KOTOR 2 Restored Content mod, high resolution patch and new items which is very impressive, as the engine is not easy to mod.

I think the reaction I'm most looking forward to is Lucas. I remember when rogue one came out and Lucas told Edwards he liked the movie, and he was just so happy that it was adorable
So what you are really saying is if we want to avoid any and all incoming spoilers from those lucky few that are going to this premiere now is the last chance to forsake all tech and live off the grid until our time comes to see the movie.
I already got minor spoiled from the last 15 second TV ad I saw last night and am considering short-term Neuralizer treatment.
