I had a very busy day. I played a big 'ol game of Age of Sigmar and won by a whisker (that's a joke cause I play Skaven, har har)

Then I got groceries, primed and base coated a ton of models (30!), made a tofu and potato curry, and did laundry.

I'm laying in bed but I'm also like "start painting those minis you just base coated"

So I had steak tonight but I cooked it at home.

Went to a local butcher and got some dry aged ribeye.

Made my cast iron skillet hotter than hell, then seared the fuck out of my steak, threw it in the oven for a bit, then pulled it out and basted it with butter, olive oil, crushed garlic and rosemary until the inside was rare, tented it until medium rare happened, then ate it with a side of sauteed mushrooms and onions.

Every bite was transcendant. I only do that maybe omce a season, but I needed it and there was a sale.

oh also that order with The Last Dab came and we tried it last night on some wings

Unsurprisingly it's really hot

What did surprise me is that it didn't seem much hotter than the Scorpion Rum sauce that BWWs had during a promotion despite being around four times hotter going by the scoville scale (Scorpion Rum was a little over 800k and The Last Dab is somewhere around 3 million on the scale iirc)

Which seems to confirm my hunch that the scoville scale is pretty useless past a certain point if not all together

I've been using the last dab in my cooking recently. Like, a small portion in a marinade to make otherwise flavorful chicken thighs into flavorful hot chicken thighs.

Its a spicy sauce for sure, but it doesn't taste bad at all.
