They should have giant foam swords/hammers/charge blades for you to take picture next to it with.
They actually did when 4u came out. They had foam Greatswords and Insect Glaives and you could get your picture taken with one of them and the flagship monster.
They only did this at a few events though.

I just remember being at PAX Prime right after the inflatable dinosaur costumes became big, and ARK had a giant trex you could sit on to take pictures, so someone got a photo wearing a dinosaur costume riding a dinosaur.

Did anyone preorder from Amazon? I am hesitant because I don't see anything that says release day delivery. "Order now and we'll notify you by email when we have an estimated delivery date for this item" doesn't have the same ring to it. I think I'll be visiting a gamestop if those still exist.

Gamestop won't have any copies unless you pre-ordered, better check a Barf Best Buy.

Gamestop always has a ton of copies of stuff, and despite the hype it isn't at like pokemon levels of hype or something. Not to mention I drive by like 3 of them on the way to work alone, there will be a store with a copy lol.
I can't decide which weapon I want to start out with. I've been playing a lot with the gunner weapons in the last couple games, but my 3U weapons of gunlance and LS look like they will be awesome again, so I'm very conflicted. Not to mention hunting horn looks like it will be pretty sweet too. I'm really interested in how all the armor will work now too, since it seems like it will be much easier to play around with which skills you have equipped. Hopefully it's going to be more interesting than just stacking crit and sharpness or whatever it's been forever.

If you're not opposed to it, digital is the way to go. It downloads when the timer hits and you can play immediately. Sometimes it pre-installs, which is even better. I know some folks hate digital, but it's always an option.
While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.
I fucking love digital. I hate having to actually put physical media in.
I went digital too. When it comes to handheld games I have this weird desire to collect physical copies, but for PC and consoles I have no such thing. I love just turning on my PS4 and selecting the game to play, just like Steam.

i literally got an email today saying my amazon.ca order has been upgraded to release date delivery @ no cost
however amazon.ca lies all the time, so i pre ordered digitally and from videogamesplus (VGP has a habit of shipping it as soon as they get it, often 3-5 days before release)
I'm all for pinching zennies with Amazon's preorder discounts but think I'm going to go digital this time, like a bunch of you guys. I haven't been as excited for a title in years and want to play immediately.

I'm not really that fond of the art on it. It's nowhere near as cool as the 3DS special editions they came out with.
What I will probably do is get some kind of custom art decal and bling out my slim.
