I think I've found the secret to QM: Healers will actually heal you if you're playing Varian. It's amazing.

I'm really excited that a new season is starting up. I really enjoy watching HoTS as I haven't been able to play as much as I've liked recently and this still let me enjoy the game.
Very curious to how the teams will adjust to the new meta and heroes.
Oh, and Greymane, Sonya, and pre-rework-Tyrael are getting a lot of love too. There are some variance for the latter picks, but these teams clearly already have their favorites.
europe is half obsessed with abathur and half hates him, so that leads to a lot of bans.
Abathur is one of those heroes that I hate playing against, for a whole host of reasons (the mines alone account for at least half of it). He's probably second only to Cho'gall in terms of how much I dislike the hero and how it impacts games.
finally got a win i didn't deserve with a lunara game i played pretty badly in, so basically i just need to play worse to get wins.
Meanwhile in some other HotS forum, some guy is ranting about the crappy Lunara he carried to a win last night. "Every game I get potato teammates."
i played p bad. i still had least deaths but lunara into hanzo li ming nova with no support i think i spent half the game hearthing to base lol.
edit: that aside, the audio issues in HGC are actually killing me. i am mostly listening since i'm at work and the audio cuts out constantly and it's just awful.

Nothing like watching the dumbass Diablo who was DIRECTLY responsible for all of your deaths as a healer walk away with the MVP because you saved him all game long from certain, stupid death.
That's a tale as old as time :
If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault. If the healer dies, it's the tank's fault. If the DPS dies, it's their own damn fault.

I don't get how blizzard goes through all the trouble of making new legendary skins then they don't bother doing shit that should be basic on a legendary skin, Replaced Voice Acting.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I'd like to see a small change to the regen globes where the blue/red orbs restore 12% health/8% mana and the purple neutral orbs restore 9%/7%. Basically buff them back to their recent pre-nerf status, while keeping neutrals where all orbs are at now.
It's not a big change and I don't know if it would make much of a difference in the long run.

It’s a dumb meta. I continue to hate everything they did in the 2018 changes.
i actually like that mercs are more impactful now. can't just ignore them anymore, they demand a response. i'll take that over useless mercs any day.
it's like when they megabuffed catapults. everyone was used to ignoring them cause they didn't do shit before. but then it's like, oops, they can chunk a core for 50%+ health
i think the meta is fine now, though, with the most recent changes. mercs still matter more now, but the games aren't roflstomp earlygame city anymore.

Even before the changes high-level players were always taking Cursed Hollow's giants the moment they spawned. It's just more visible now because it happens earlier in the game, and with all the camps.
mercs were good before but you had to time them or push with them. now they're just op and way too hard to clear in general, and can snowball a wave even without hero support against a hero.
they're way too good. teams taking giants and knights 1 minute into the game is stupid and limits team construction.

How much does it limit it when you should have been taking Greymane and Sonya the whole time :rotate:
anyway, this is how hots is for me now. quietly doubling the enemy team's healer, even doing 15k healing in the last fight alone and still lost because our tyreal and diablo got stunned for an hour since they both stood in immortal stun and then got moshed.
shrug.
i do like this build i saw during hgc though, where you go w quest at 1 and lifebloom still at 7. it feels pretty good. also been taking the heal at 13 if i have a beefy tank, it really helps snap a bunch of healing into them to keep them alive for the w. pacify is still really good in more squishy games and games with stuff like dragonblade tho. feels less clunky than full w, but also feels like it can pump out good aoe healing with w still while having strong sustain and snap healing with q.
still not super good with alex, but it's mostly figuring out how to properly manage r and d at this point now that i found a build i liked.

I love when I'm brightwing, and we're in a bad engage, because our Nazeebo is off doing his own bullshit, AGAIN, and I use Winds to break us free... and Arthas dives back in 1v5, leading to a wipe and a game loss.
XBL: Morgan Coke Yes, there is a space, not an underscore. I'm old school like that.

i literally had to start only playing heroes i could make an appreciable impact in the game with, otherwise i can't make enough plays to make up for my potato-mates
I don't think it's ETC as much as the cast around him. His last big change was on 4/4/17. He lost 300 health and had his trait changed to gain 20 armor instead of giving everyone attack speed buffs. Two weeks later he got some minor health and talent number buffs. Finally a minor buff to his attack speed on 5/31.

What it actually is is that the meta and the players that make it up are fickle things.

Different regions have different metas. If you want a chance at a more detailed explanation maybe shoot Khaldor a tweet.

etc why can't you just be balanced, always god king or squishy potato.
there are far too many heroes in the game like this :S
