Kill ebum to confirm that post-death abilities are a thing.

Of course, half the game could pretty much confirm it anyways :P

I suspect I may be more useful dead, actually.

    Are deaths reliable?

I'm pretty sure deaths are not reliable, for the record.

The results? I've just been assuming some would be hidden, not that they would be untrue. That makes things harder.

Either that or my ability is very, very narrow. Hard to say.

So I guess now the question is do we have any villagers who are special while living?

if everyone is only special when dead that will make networking to use their abilities effectively...difficult.

Like they aren't really dead or that there is a resurrection mechanic?

Enlightenedbum just implied they are. I got offered power yesterday but it came with a catch (denying the afterlife, which I presume turns off my and/or someone else's death powers). So we have one claiming a power and another claiming they can hand power out.

Did they though? They never said they had to be alive.

The deals thing sounds like either a mafia ability or a neutral/SK. I guess it could be village if the deal was for something favorable and someone had a weak death power.

I'm curious to this as well.

Did anyone at all receive any effects, negative or positive overnight? Or are we only seeing people who trigger something when they die?

I was untouched last night. (and for clarification turned the offer above down)

We have specials that are effective while living, yes.

    At the very least, this:

I figured our abilities were there to make death more fun, but it kinda sounds dying might be more strategic

I'm going to have to ask everyone to stagger their deaths at the hands of mafia members in the most beneficial order.

Eh it's the least helpful thing you can do day 1 (I guess your death power on this game could be really useful), just gives a trying too hard too not care mafia vibe

It's actually for this reason that I'm going to vote for Brody. It's one of the easiest throw-away votes you can make. So yes, I'm also looking at Preda and jdarksun. But Brody was first, so he gets my vote.

Was it the Mystery Mansion game that had a forum for the ghosts of the dead? That was fun.

If you have a post-death ability, best not to announce it to thread. It forces us to waste a vote on you to get it when we should be letting the mafia do that for us.

It's been done multiple times. I think I ran one game with it, too, and at least once more where there was a second PA forum thread for the dead.

That's not true. The LEAST helpful is rolling Geth in the thread for a random vote. I ruffled a few feathers with that move.
