Jon Lovitz actually did punch Andy Dick in his stupid face because of what he did, so we can all live vicariously through him.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I think he was bragging about selling Hartman's wife the coke that sent her back into drug addiction and that eventually led to her murdering him.

The film feels both like a modern film, and a film from an era gone-by. It is deliberately paced and permeated with that sort of dread foreboding that can only come from seeing something that's so beautiful you can't look away.
It's a sci-fi horror film, but it's only got one real jump scare (and not much of one, at that). This is a film concerned with making you scared because of implications beyond death, threats that go beyond physical violence.
That said, I feel that it's necessary to caution people that there is one scene of body horror that I'm pretty sure the entire theater was looking away from
My local theatre is from the turn of the last century, and they've kept most of the interior fittings. I'm going to try to see it there, I think it will add ambience.
Holy fuck, Mute is at nine percent on Rotten Tomatoes
It's... Uh... Not good.
I feel like the cluttered, weirdly paced story that's just confusing and off-putting in the first half just gets weirder and grosser and less meaningful as it goes on.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

I just finished up Nocturnal Animals
What a beautiful movie with fantastic performances by every actor and a story that I find somewhere between lame and morally bankrupt

I just finished it and I'm still kind of in awe of how much I disliked it. It also just made some super gross narrative choices and man, I am so incredibly disappointed.

Ok William Gibson just tweeted about how much he loved it so now I have no clue what's happening with this film.

I mean Andy dick bragged about having a hand in Phil Hartmans death
If anyone deserves face punches
There probably is a very long line of very capable people willing to do more for lesser reasons to him
Except it's like "You can't accuse me of being a sexual predator, because I AM ONE!"
I mean once you get to know the guy I'm sure he's okay
But he's definitely got a punchable face
greg i have known you for years
it's not the face
Matthew was the fucking worst
But yes Dick is the worst and anyone could have played that role
Smashed his face into a bar, IIRC, because Andy Dick bragged about getting Phil Hartman back on coke?
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy

Yeah, that. He bragged that he sold her the coke that sent her down the spiral that led to the murder.
She had been off drugs for a long time by that point.

It's a film that I want to see again, but I don't want to see it again for a while.
Also, as someone who's read the book: The film feels faithful to the spirit of the book, but it's definitely its own thing.
Edit: Wait, is 12 March the release date for everywhere non-US?

It just means nothing at this point.
Or Nocturnal Animals!
