With its self-aware meta humor the movie [Teen Titans Go! to the Movies] is very much a Deadpool for kids -- with direct nods to Ryan Reynolds' franchise for good measure.
Why does Japanese media often contain people shouting their attacks in English? I understand that perhaps Japanese may not have a word for "boomerang", but it probably has a word for cutter? And in DBZ, the whole show is in Japanese but they'll shout "Big Bang Attack" or "Final Flash" in English. Is English seen as exotic maybe, the way we might name an attack in Japanese?
Ok so you know how a lot of people in the USA get Kanji or Chinese characters tattooed on them? Or wear shirts in languages they can't read?
Its the same thing but its in Japan where English is this weird cool person language
The Deadpool of DC should be Ambush Bug, but DC refuses to give us the Ambush Bug content we deserve.
In personality yes.
But the "Are you Deadpool" thing is totally a comic nod. I'm sure plenty of people here know this, but in the DC comics Deathstroke (Slade) is named Slade Wilson, whereas Deadpool is Wade Wilson. I think at some point in one of the Marvel/DC crossovers they had a joke about them being alternate reality versions of each other.
I'm pretty sure Leifield said he based some of the design for Deadpool off of Deathstoke as well. I might be misremembering that though.

I was trying to guess some of the voices in the trailer. I'm pretty bad at that, I thought Slade sounded a bit like Seth Rogan. Which isn't a plus for me.
Good news! He's actually played by Will Arnett.
Bad news, if Arnett is Slade, then who's Batman? Jimmy Kimmel. So that's not great.
But good news...
Superman... is Nic Cage.

The joke was that you did the deathstroke in the deadpool, yeah.
Wow, that was from when regular show was winding down, right
Seems like a real long time ago

I think the shorts tend to take absolutely forever to turn into shows. I remember the adventure time and steven universe shorts predating the shows by like five years each.

Adventure Time was like three years between the pilot and the show. I remember it being big among all the animation majors in my classes because it was sort of the first show clearly made by somebody close to our age. The same largely goes for Regular Show. J.G. Quintel's shorts were going around for a while before that became a thing.
Actually speaking of long animation lead times....

Adventure Time was originally pitched to Nickelodeon and they passed on it.
Bravest Warriors was also pitched before Adventure time even became a series.
What I love about the Shazam trailer is the unintentional (seeming) comedy of the Hollywood Blockbuster Movie Trailer Music dubbed over... "orphan kid has understandable trouble fitting into new foster family".
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

I am sad that Jim Cummings won't be reprising his performance as Don Karnage.
But I've yet to be disappointed by this show, so I'm still pretty excited about this.
I'm thinking that they are Dread Pirate Robertsing Karnage. In the past when Disney has tried to unify the Disney Afternoon properties into a shared universe, TaleSpin has always been depicted as taking place in the series equivalent of the 20s-30s, with the other series being in the "modern day". Furthermore, the design of NuKarnage doesn't resemble the original - but, it does resemble one of his subordinates.

I am considerably more interested in what they're doing with heroes who aren't Superman, Batman, or Flash.

Wait, this actually looks good.
Are we sure this is DC? :P

I'll take "Fun and forgettable" over the dumpster fire that is Snyder's superhero film career.
Dude had one movie that actually worked in his style (300) and everything else has been downhill.
And for those of you who haven't seen the original short, yet.

Yes but the real question is: How does it look compared to the Justice League Box Office?

I don’t think that is the worst thing (with the exception of people not liking fallon).
DC movies need to learn how to have fun again and if they need to really lean into it, that is fine with me.
Satans..... hints.....
