Personally, I was disappointed. There wasn't enough dakka in it.

I tried putting the tracking ID for the color shifting paint into the USPS tracker since you all let me know it will be deliver by them. I guess it processed through NY on the 6th so maybe it will arrive by the end of the week. It doesn't give me a date for it to arrive though which is a bummer.

What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable? ~ Mario Novak
I never fear death or dyin', I only fear never trying.
Commanders sound fun but I’m hoping the next expansion is Bigger Boiz.
Like a couple of Guardians and a Wraithblade, or some scouts and a lone terminator.
Or even light vehicles; a bunch of rebel grots and their Killa Kan would be a cool KT.
I guess its easy enough to houserule in. Has anyone tried it?
I do wish Terminators would make it into Killteam solely so I can play Not!Space Hulk (no one wants to play Zone Mortalis style cramped environment games in my meta), but while the model restrictions are a bit chafing I like that Killteam is a distinct thing from larger games.
Yeah, i do wonder how far you can stretch KT as a system before it breaks. Seems fairly robust compared to any other 40k skirmish level game i’ve encountered so far.
KT mechanics are great but they only work in a skirmish game. You really can’t raise the points level too much before it gets mired down. 150 only works because you’re adding guys that are half that on their own.
I've been meaning to try out killteam's phase activations in a 40k game and see how they fare. Needs some tokens to keep track of things to be sure, but I don't think the unit counts are wildly disproportionate.

A single big guy would be great and add some visual character to the teams..
The problm I see is that none of those are sold as single miniatures, so I see the risk of GW just saying, yeah, you can run a full Wraithguard team and nothing but bullgryns which would escalate things quite a bit.

Stretching the system until it breaks to sell more models is very GW.

I really do hope it ends with commanders. I think adding more models would really convolute the system and what it is supposed to be.

It almost certainly won't end with just one expansion. I suspect that it's likely to follow the new Necromunda's model, where by this time next year there will be three or four expansions.

I'm fine with more expansions, I just don't think there is much need for adding more models like terminators and such.

I’m for anything that generates new models (that I like anyway). That being said I thought the Commanders were going to be new sculpts but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I guess I was confused with the Wake the Dead set.
Next Kill team expansion is Inquisitors apparently, from someone on Dakka who was in the know about the commander expansion when it was first mentioned when Rogue Trader came out.
Sisters rules, or even some early release monopose plastic sprues, would be great but I'd love to just have a super versatile build-your-own-Inquisitor rules section, and super customizable acolytes, etc. Just full on kitbash army, no official models, a slightly more advanced hobbyist expansion.
Are there any factions not included in Kill Team yet besides Sisters of Battle and Squats? Maybe just the specialized factions? (dunno if subfactions are in it yet, I don't play it)

(get a Necromunda kill team)
Daemons and Custodes are really the only factions missing outside of Sisters and the Inquisition.
I'm expecting weirder stuff like Eldar Corsairs to eventually pop up, too.

Stuff like this seems to be a great way for GW to toe the waters with some of the various forces & alien races that have been referenced in lore but never got the full wh40k army list treatment.
Given the success of Rogue Trader, I'd fully expect the Inquisitor thing to be another box with figures. All kinds of fun unique Inquisitorial retinue figures you could do.
The last time I remember they did something with Inquisitors was after the massive scale RPG {I just got the figures to paint still kind of want to get the part of one and get one other figure} They scaled them down to 40k size
as I remember someone playing one in the first paid in tourney with death cultists and demon hosts
That army was odd in various ways as it either blew up in his face or would tear though yours {the battles were 500 point affairs}
Two small Necromunda equivalent sprues for acolytes and another one for Inquisitors with a bunch of weapon and equipment choices should be enough to cover most possible options you would want ruleswise to cover most scratchbuild Inq retinues.
Add a bunch of cultists, mutants, deamonhosts in the style of the 54mm Inq game, and one or two actual daemons as the opposition and voila.

I think the entry says another stealer may take the other option.

Wait, is this for KT or 40k?
The many varieties of dakka.
40k
The kill team rules are a bit more explicitly written as "one or the other" per model

A bunch of new models
New Killzone
New missions and a small campaign
Rules for the aformentioned new models for both KT and 40k including...
New tactics
New Specialisms
New Commander traits and upgrades
Something special ruleswise that might show up in another book only expansion. Rogue Trader had Commanders.
Probably... rules for Inquisition and Sisters of Battle Kill Teams?
