Did Hooters take out for lunch. I tried their grilled boneless wings, which were really just chunks of grilled chicken. It was alright. The Garlic Parm sauce was not great but not terrible. Their Hot was pretty tasty though. I also got some fried picked and hell yes those were great.
I dunno if the rules/standards have changed or if its just because its below zero out here but 75% of the staff were wearing pants and low cut tops, some with sleeve some without. A few had the classic bootie shorts and very low cut tanktop, but I got the feeling it may be a choice and I am ok with that.
I find regional variations in strip club laws really interesting. Some states it's no alcohol, others it's no food, contact rules vary, cultural mores vary... almost everywhere seems to allow strip clubs to some degree, but I find the different compromises that legislatures have found with the concept of a strip club fascinating.
Like in LA, a bosoms strip club can serve alcohol, but if your strip club is the bosoms and front bottom type of place it's soda only for you. Why? Who knows, but I bet that was negotiated at length.

Religious law makers only being very slowly replaced or fighting up a wall.

I think a sociologist could probably do a pretty interesting study on what kind of effects these types of laws end up having on the local areas and the lives of the workers there. I know I met a lady from England once, living in Montreal, who did not like working at the Montreal clubs because they were full contact but the money was less good than in the UK. More for less, essentially.

Alcohol laws definitely track early 20th-century thinking more so than modern social values. Like Massachusetts is as left as anywhere in the US these days, but the alcohol laws are still strict as a reflection of Prohibition (though it looks they now allow alcohol sales in grocery stores).
That said, no happy hours, no sales before 11:00 AM on Sunday, no off-premises sales on certain holidays. Also Wikipedia is saying that out-of-state driver's licenses are not sufficient proof of ID. Do I need to bring my passport to PAX East?

It often comes down to some very weird quirks in very old laws that are not amended or repealed and people just get used to it.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

To the first point, sort of - my vague understanding is that if you have a chain of groceries, only one per borough can carry alcohol (it's fascinating to watch Trader Joes decide which one this gets to be). As to the second, yeah they only accept Mass ID or passports.
is the mass. out of state ID rule only for liquor stores? because ive definitely gotten stuff at bars with just a drivers license

It might actually only be for grocery stores?
I'm pretty sure I've bought alcohol from package stores with my GA id since moving back

What Munkus said - it's supposed to be everywhere, but how much individual establishments give a shit varies widely. I've bought liquor using my Australian drivers license before ("It must be real! there's a hologram!"), but it's a total crapshoot.
Best advice is don't go to a student bar and you'll probably be fine.

Chilis
Most places that sell liquor in the state don't actually care if you have an out of state ID. The only places I've ever seen make a real fuss about ID are bars in Cambridge or more student-heavy areas of Boston like Kenmore.

This is true, but for me it's a pain because that's where I spend most of my time. I'm about 50/50 on liquor stores accepting my drivers license.

Edit: seriously, this list is fascinating (to me, at least): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_alcohol_laws_of_the_United_States

Wow. If it weren't for this discussion there's a pretty real chance I would not have known that.

It might be based on either how many fucks they give or how likely they feel they are being tested by beverage control.
