explosions clipping through walls prevented some assholes from camping
They were useful but silly. On some levels most of my kills came from guessing where the enemy was and shooting a grenade launcher at a wall somewhere in that direction.
And my friend who I played with at the time would do the same thing with proximity mines. It was insanity and probably wouldn't feel all that impressive of a game mechanic now.
I still haven't finished Mass Effect, yet. I say I'm going to wait until I have a full day to myself and just power through the rest of the game but that never happens ever. Which sucks because I did all the planet sidequests and all I have to do is go to Virmire and beyond which apparently where all the best shit in the game happens
Virmire is fucking great.
And then after that it gets better.
And then you restart with all your gear and a level 50something character and you wreck some shit.
Speaking of gear, when do the Spectre weapons above VII become available?
Because I've had the rank VII ones for literally my entire playthrough, and I'm not seeing VIII in the shops at all.

Virmire had some really good moments (spoilers)
When I had to make the choice about who to leave to die... first thing I thought to myself was 'fuck Manhunt, -this- is mature gaming.' Such a great moment, and such a fucking hard choice to make. Eventually I remembered I was pursuing Ashley so I left Kaiden to die.

That was exactly my rationale the first time I played it.
This time, though, I'm doing the total dick thing, so fuck that.
We get it, you hate Mass Effect.
Please be wrong quietly.
I don't remember talking to you.
ever.
I want to play Bioshock again and see if that downloadable content mixes things up a little.
It doesn't. If you liked the game before it will still be just as fun, but adding a few plasmids and disabling vita-chambers hardly leads to a new gameplay experience.

If it doesn't have vita-chambers, what happens when you die? Restart at last save point?
Honestly I didn't really die more than once in the entire game anyways, but the fact that vita-chambers were every ten fucking feet annoyed me a bit.
Fuck you, Virmire.
Halfway through, I get blown up by a Colossus...and have to start back at the beginning of the level.
I forgot you have to save every so often on this level because fucking hell.

Yeah my biggest annoyance with the game was the lack of many autosave points.
I'd do a planet, get all the ore and artifacts, and then die.. and then start at the beginning of the planet again. Which usually resulted in 'fuck it' and just doing the mission.
This is in the Mako, Pony.
I'm not saying it's impossible to drive, but it ain't the easiest thing to dance away from a shot and keep your crosshairs on the one fucking weak spot on the Colossus.
It feels like, unless I'm dead center on the aiming triangle, it doesn't do anything.
To be honest, it just wasn't really my kind of game. I wasn't ab;e to get into it. I played it, didn't like it and that's about it. I haven't really made that big a deal about it. I can't. I don't have any issues with it other than 'I didn't enjoy playing it". I bought it because it was a new release, everyone here recommended it and i had a giftcard for a games store. That's about it.
I wondering whether I should take back what I said to pony too, but something tells me he aint arsed.
Posts
hooray!
the simulants added so much to the game
i haven't seen a console FPS since with bots like that
You were playing with old dudes last night?
Dual Cyclones set to "empty clip" were the shit.
Crap.
What I meant wa- oh nevermind.

Secret Satan
go into a room that has only one entrance
place the laptop turret facing the entrance
whip out the farshot
win
Are you kidding? It facilitated spawn camping a lot more than prevented it
boy I sure am enjoying playing this not Mass Effect

that seems to be consistent for you
Very true, I just cited it as what (stupid) people say is 'mature gaming'. lollolol it has lots of blood and gore so it's mature.
Fuck that.

you can just dodge a colossus' attacks easytimes

i do it all the time
stop playing on casual
that shit does not fly later on when they have more armaments than their faggot energy cannon
hint, if you ram a colossus, it falls down and takes roughly 5-10 seconds to get back up
it cannot fire while felled
Not really, I mean, that implies that people like you.
okay ascot
okay
i mean i didn't try to get you pre-banned from a forum or nothin'
how about we throwdown some carcassonne right now mister
fags
