You know the best 90s toys were those Mattell Aliens vs Predator toys. I still have my water squirting gorilla alien and it smells like rank mildew but I love it.

It’s CRAZY how many R-rated action figures we got.

Oh man, yeah, I'd never thought about that. I can't imagine how much different I'd be as a person if not for my parents being super chill with me watching R movies from a young age. I know Aliens was my favorite movie when I was 8, and nowadays if I had an 8 year old kid I would be mortified to show them that movie.

My buddy had it and it was like, one of the only times I wanted to steal something from my whole childhood. He got to buy all the cool toys he wanted because he had a paper route, so he had all the Exo Squad guys and Power Rangers shit, too. And he never played with it, it was all just on display perpetually.
It still amazes me that the D&D live-action movie from 2000 wasn't just an adaptation of this. 'Have teens from our world transported to a strange, magical world and try to find a way home.' just seems like a great hook for a movie.

That's just an isekai.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Hey, you stay away from her, you b-
-but yeah, I had it (still do somewhere?), it was rad, came with that stand/playset of like the cocoon and had some green goo you could dump into the top to drip down on the humans (or whatever you wanted) below
There were definitely some fucked up 90s toys. Had a bunch of those grotesque Spawn toys too

My cousin had a bunch of Swamp Thing toys, and they were way cooler than they had any right to be.

Anyone else remember trying to talk your parents into renting Robocop from Blockbuster because you had the toys but had never seen the movie?

my dad sat me down one Halloween evening and we shared my candy and watched Halloween, Re-Animator, and in a surprise finish, Robocop. I got to stay up so late and hang out with my pops, I wasn't even spooked.
my mom wasn't home obviously, because she would have not allowed it.
I have most of the aliens figures because of garage sale
They were all in very good condition. As in they were just put on display nothing else. I even have the vehicle that assault jeep thing.

Well, I was a 90s teen. Still watched a lot of 90s cartoons, the same cartoons which 90s kids namedrop.

The Shitty Beatles? Are they any good?

My mother was not pleased. I don't remember a thing at the time though. But I watched Robocop a few years back and hey, that movie's dope.
My dad flipped out when he came in and Toxie was frying a girl's [censored].
