Parasitic mechanics (IIRC) rely heavily on other mechanics within the set, limiting their reprint/eternal usage. A mechanic like Convoke is nonparasitic, because pretty much every environment is going to have creatures available. Same with Ascend - all you need is a bunch of permanents to make the card work.
A parasitic mechanic is something like Energy - cards that spend energy need a critical mass of other cards that produce energy, and cards that produce energy are useless without cards that spend energy. Surveil is a non-parasitic mechanic (everyone loves card-filtering and graveyard mechanics); Disinformation Campaign is a parasitic card because it only works with the handful of cards that Surveil.

Lots of spoilers today and we found out that you cast Adventure once the creature is in play and exile the creature, but then you can cast that creature from exile. So, the story never ends. Neat.

That's really cool. I wonder if they are all soceries, or if there are any instant adventures which could give some interesting tricks.

No, you cast the sorcery from your hand and then exile it. You may then later cast the creature from exile.

You are correct. I hadn't seen the article that was published. From the article:
You can always play a card for it’s normal mana cost, in the top right… Or if it’s in your hand, you can pay the adventure cost and send it away on an adventure! It’ll do the effect in the adventure textbox, you’ll exile the card, and then you can still cast it later on. It’s a great way to get extra value out of each and every one of your adventure cards!”
Not as flavorful as the story never ends, but I suppose that might be overpowered.
Bolas specifically kept Garruk away from Ravnica because he didn’t want him murdering planeswalkers left and right before he could harvest their sparks.
So no gold or gem rewards for rotating cards? I was expecting some kind of reward, maybe just for rotating rares and mythics, since there's no way to 'dust' them like in Hearthstone. Yes they are giving out 14 packs and other rewards, but as it stands someone who bought a complete collection of the rotating sets and someone who just started playing this week are both getting the same reward. This gives me even more reason to be stingy with Wildcards on cards due to rotate.

The Historic format is the reason why they won't give you gems or gold. You'll still be able to use the cards in that format.

To be fair you can still play those cards, just not in Ranked (yet)

I don't think that counts as a sad lady cover, though! She had the same energy as the original up until a few seconds from the end.

The brawl is commander.

It’s also possible Adventure is like Flashback or Splice and allows the card to be played from other zones/without actually playing the card
It sounds like the rule is the card can be played from your hand as the adventure or as a creature
if its played as the sorcery it goes into exile where it can still be cast as a creature

I like adventure as a concept but I hate it because of the confusing GY interactions it will bring.

They're probably as common as Treasures.
Also, they're not just tokens...
(From SE thread.)
I'm wrong, go down a couple posts for the quote.

There are definitely Instant Adventures

Garruk is back!
Wonder what kept him from ravnica?
In any case that feels like a walker deck face card
Probably the same thing that kept Oko and the Kendrich twins away.
Ebook spoiler
Only in Ch2 (which is discussing pre-spark Rowan and Will) so no idea if the Beacon gets mentioned but it probably will get one in passing.
Now, I don't know japanese
But I think something might be amiss with this translation

This feels mean just as Rat Colony is rotating out
Gotta seed historic somehow.
It seems pushed for a walker deck card.
Solid plan that wont end with super-murder

Yooo!!! Just played the Mardu knights deck and it was awesome! A bit janky, but I was able to pull off the double combat trick!!! 8-)

It doesn't interact with the GY though
