Shit, > 50% of the outfits I see aren't to my taste, especially the hordes of butt-floss ones. That doesn't matter though, as long as you aren't being an asshole. That person was being an asshole.
There's butt floss outfits in SWTOR?
Clearly I haven't been shopping looking in the right places...

As an added bonus, I think all three of them came to my stronghold on different characters (after I'd set the original characters to ignore) to pretend to perform sexual acts I guess? Except I don't really care about that, do that all you want friendo, though the emotes are pretty limited in this game for that sort of thing.

Uh, that's gone from toxic to straight up harassing. It's reportin' time.
I don't have any screenshots and I don't remember the names of the toons they were on because I was busy with my inventory and didn't really give a shit. Honestly I was still way more mad about them being mean regarding my outfit than them coming to my stronghold and playacting.
Though to be clear, yeah what they did sucks, and had a 12 year old me been playing the game I'm not exaggerating when I say it would have been traumatizing. I was a very sheltered child; though I dunno, I also didn't grow up with the internet, so maybe I wouldn't have been quite so sheltered... but I was also a very obedient child, so I don't know if I would have sought out porn and things if the internet had existed back then. Anyway, I'm not really sure if they were going for "expose a child to pornography before they are ready" or "ha ha GAY sex, take THAT!" It did seem like they were expecting me to turn into Ron Paul when faced with the prospect of the existence of men having sex with men. They soon lost interest when I made no reaction.

We... have wildly different definitions of "butt floss" outfits. I was expecting things like the armors in TERA, not tube tops. The dancer outfit is an odd thing but even that's not particularly bad (or butt flossy). Everything else I see (including the "extroverted" armors) seems fine. It's not like jedis need full body armor or anything.
Heck, even teenage Ahsoka wears a tube top in The Clone Wars.

Resubbed and started up a commando. It's always fun to come back to this game every couple of years.
Once you get to the Fallen Empire stuff, do planetary and side missions go away on old planets or do they stay? I'm trying to decide if I should do some of them now or if it's cool to wait until after KotFE, etc.

Side missions stay. I think planetaries do too? I think it's just your class story that gets locked away. Someone else want to confirm?

Until today, I've only ever brought my guardian into ranked pvp. Today I tried my sage healer. I did better than I expected, but I learned something that years of regular pvp didn't teach me: electro net keeps you from being able to use force barrier. I had no idea.

In today's complaint about ranked pvp, I learned that it's possible to vote kick in ranked. It works based on assuming you aren't contributing, so if you're dead and can't perform any actions, then the vote kick works. Added annoyance is that it doesn't let you queue again for 5 minutes and lowers your rank by a lot (I don't know by how much since the healer I'm bringing doesn't have a rank yet. )
The reason I was kicked was for not being a good enough healer, which fucking sucks as a reason.

So I'll probably play some TOR again to at least go through the upcoming expansion story. I just finished the Ossus story. Is there an easy way to some gear ilvls quickly? I'm at approximately ilvl 242 from story gear and while that's find for normal questing, I get my ass kicked trying to solo Ossus heroics (which, according to the inter tubes, is supposed to be pretty feasible).

Gearing is done through weekly ossus world boss mission and the other weekly mission that cycles through different things (this week it's galactic starfighter). Those missions give you crystals, two of which can buy you one of the basic gear level. There's also a "shady trader" (or similarly named) on Ossus who trades for crystals with unassembled components. That's the fastest way to gear right now, but once the new content drops that gear will become irrelevant.

Nothing official that I know of, but from PTS and datamining:
Supposedly Kira and Scourge are probably back, but no one is sure if they are just for Knight, just for pub, or universal companions. Theran Cedrax might also be back.

After almost two months away for various reasons (including wanting to do a Dragon Age Inquisition super-completionist playthrough), I resubbed, just in time for the expansion tomorrow.
And I discovered there was a big-ass sale going on, including a half-price collections unlocks sale! And since I'd been saving up for months before I let it lapse, I was able to unlock like 70 things.

First impressions (because the servers went down for maintenance again after a few hours):
Yeah, 'sallright.
As someone who subbed from January to August 2015 or whatever it was to unlock the HK-55 bonus chapter, I'm glad people who didn't are going to get the chance--but it's bullshit that it's gonna cost people ~$35US. It's DLC. And, not to spoil anything, not particularly long DLC. $10 would be fair. $15, tops. (When you consider the kind of indie and "AA" games that are available for $20 these days, I can't imagine the balls it takes to charge ~$35 for one bonus chapter of TOR.)
Onderon looks pretty good. I remember it feeling more Greco-Roman in Clone Wars, but the city in the game is very Egyptian in feel. There seem to be more than a few non-voiced quests to wait for shit to respawn in a paricular area and click it.
Story-wise...yeah, 'sallright. So far, the start was bland, at least on the Republic side. The writers have abandoned all pretense that this is anything other than a return to rehashing the Rebellion/Empire aesthetic; even the characters refer to Sith warships as "Star Destroyers". But they have come up with a cool thing I don't think I've quite seen in Star Wars before, so that's nice.
Thus far Lana remains the only character in the Alliance that still seems to exist.
I almost did a double-take when I saw Darth Savik's head projected from the droid body.
Best thing in the expansion so far?
Crafting inventory.
I cleared out four fucking tabs of my legacy hold with that. Only downside, it doesn't record it when you harvest resources in the world. They go straight into your crafting inventory tab, but you don't know how much, so for a while I thought it was bugged.
Speaking of, there seem to be a few minor bugs. Some of the scenery that should be solid isn't, that sort of thing.
Genuinely disappointed there wasn't a rendered cinematic, but I suppose there wasn't one for Hutt Cartel or Shadow of Revan either.
Honestly if it's all of the same quality (and I expect there will be changes and differences and improvements as the new stuff unfolds, but...), a part of me is hoping to finish the new content on my mains quick so I can get back to grinding credits for pretty princess dressup.
Darth Malgus's new armor is available and it's got a cool mask!

Is the materials inventory legacy-wide, or does it only apply to one character? For example, if I put my level 10 slicing matts in there, can all of my characters access it?
Edit: Tested it out and yes, it's legacy-wide, thank god. While that's a huge improvement, I'm not a fan of having to pay 500k per skill just to allow me to start leveling up my crafting skills again. Good thing my main is rich or I couldn't afford that shit.

Has anyone figured out why some characters have a "Enable/Disable Tutorial" at the top of their Logout Options menu, and others don't? And how to turn it off?
EDIT: Also, I hope he looks better in motion, 'cause I just saw a still closeup of Arn (Beardy McBeardface) and he's right out of the Uncanny Valley. (No spoilers, just a reaction to the character design.)

Bioware, hire me. I wrote the correct response (for Jedi Knights/Consulars, anyway) for after you defeat
Darth Savik.
Savik: "I've studied...trained...risen to the Dark Council! What does it take to beat you? How can you be so powerful?"
"Well, in approximate order, as they come to me...
...the first reason I won this fight despite you preparing for ten years is because your preferred lightsaber style is awful for dueling.
The second reason is because you were so into your villainous motive rant, you initiated the fight before you'd finished stacking the deck in your favor.
The third reason is because you neglected to isolate my friend well enough to make it an actual duel.
And the final reason is, for someone who's been studying me for the better part of ten years, you don't seem to actually know me at all.
Hi. I'm [CHARNAME]. Pleased to meet you. I win swordfights."
