His Trait doesn't have a cooldown to begin with, it is most assuredly independent.
I imagine it functions exactly the same as Gazlowe's X-Tra Large Bombs.
Anyway I'm real excited for Junkrat's rework though. Not only are they giving him actual damage options, they're giving him compelling competing talents to some of the more popular choices like TFE or Ripper Air. Sure, you can still take those, but the other options are strong enough to take other ones instead, AND you can still get damage options elsewhere.
TFE might still be *the* pick, I'm not sure yet, but having access to Chattering Teeth that early in combination with the new strong Trap talents could be worthwhile! And again, you make up for the damage loss elsewhere in his tree. But like, a chasing trap that also Silences for 2.5 secs? Sign me up.
Bombs Away is almost certainly a worthy contender to Ripper Air though. Goddamn.

It also turns the level 7 Trap talents from being "eh maybe if they facecheck this bush, maybe." into a guaranteed Silence or -10 Armor. Maybe not on a predictable target, but *a* target that you can still blow up in that window. That's way better than some otherwise nebulous "value" as a zoning tool that never gets touched.

Even though it's QUITE A FEAT to have more deaths than kills as the fish of doom, this was a serious pants-on-head game due to my wonderful allies.
Finally when inky kicked in at 20 I was able to 1v2 the enemy multiple times which denied my allies from constantly feeding, and we won after having no buildings left.

i don't think murky's playstyle is particularly interesting, other than the tension that comes from having very low health
The core fun of Murky is that you're a stutterstep hero that doesn't need to bother with autoattacks, which makes it play a lot smoother. And the dopamine hits from W'ing a wave and getting bribe stacks for it.
Also maniacally cackling whenever you successfully duel someone.
