I said it was insane. But I still wouldn’t put it past them. We are in a really weird place right now with classic being an all time first occurance and having a huge impact, coupled with bfa having near radio silence since 8.2 happened

I agree, and that's why I think that the 'Shadowlands are coming, we are all doing to die !!' leak is probably accurate. Stay silent while finishing the art assets, let Classic grab all of the players' attention, then drop a big story bomb at Blizzcon.
Cross-posting this from the SE++ thread since I figure it trends Horde and this is about Alliance-specific appearances...
...it really bugs me that the 7th Legionnaire's Bloody Drape is class-locked to plate wearers.
It really doesn't help that it's listed on WoWHead with a different model.
Is there a different cloak that looks that way on other classes? I know there are like a billion variants of the 7th Legion sets for each armor type, so...
Do the Nazjatar friends do more base damage as you level them up? Or just get more health/abilities?
Both; they unlock all their abilities and also learn upgraded versions that do more damage and whatnot.
I know there are upgraded versions of the abilities. I'm specifically asking if the allies do more damage, period. Auto attacks, or from 15-30 when the abilities no longer upgrade, do they do more damage?

“Yay, I have a 120 of every class! I never need to level up another alt!”
(Proceeds to level up more alts, albeit with different races)
Some of it is on characters I’ve had for a while. My Blood Elf Paladin had actually been my first 110, but I never leveled her last that. My Void Elf Warlock has been chilling out at 77 for months, since I decided to level my Blood Elf Warlock instead. But this weekend, I was also like “damn, Fury Warriors are so satisfying to play, and I’d like to play a Mag’har Orc, let’s just make one and oh I’m level 31 and what happened to the time?” And then I was like “hey, new Worgen models soon, I should totally level a Worgen.”
Leveling alts is just such a chill mindless grind I can do while watching Netflix, and clear out zone quests for achievements, and collect the pets from each zone, etc.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.
I'm guessing there's something else after the 2nd cinematic plays. An in game cutscene or something? The end of that cutscene is pretty abrupt and now I need closure.
Also, I did not quite follow the logic of it. Someone with a bit more analytical skill than me, help me out here.
So Saurfang challenges Sylvanas to 1v1 combat. He gets his ass kicked. She taunts him, he musters a bit more strength, swings a couple more times and then she just blasts him to shit with her banshee powers. Like obviously the whole physical battle was a farce because if she was that strong that she could just blast him like that, he never stood a chance. The whole thing was obviously symbolic.
But what I don't understand is why she just flies away at the end. The stakes of the battle were very clearly the Horde. He was challenging her for right to rule, essentially. And she kicked his ass. But then she abdicates? She just leaves? That's the part I don't get.
Was she suddenly moved by his conviction? Did she realize that her Horde has no honor? Did she realize she's a giant meanie? Like... I don't get the end of that at all.
Obviously there are implications after. She's gone, which means the rebel faction can reclaim control of Orgrimmar. And Anduin Wrynn walked straight into the front doors of the fortress, bearing the body of Saurfang. So obviously there has been a shift in the factional balance.

She sees the way even the undead, her most loyal subjects, react to her open disdain, and decides to peace out while she still can.

She lost the Horde when she called them nothing. Doesn't matter how the fight went.
It's kind of dumb way to end the thing.

Here's the dialogue for the Sylvanas loyalists scene:
Sylvanas: Ah champion, I wasn't certain you made it out of Orgrimmar. If the traitors know of your service to me, they'd have put you in irons...or worse. Saurfang's ill-considered challenge may have ended the war prematurely, but it doesn't matter now. Countless souls h ave been fed to the hungering darkness. Though I cared nothing for the living, I did pity the Forsaken. For the great injustice that made them what they are. I understand the cruelty of fate better than anyone.
But despite all I taught them, they stubbornly clung to hope. To life. They will learn the truth, along with all the rest.
My bargain with Azshara will yet bear fruit. The armies of Azeroth will fight her master, and he will line their streets with corpses. In the end, he too will serve Death.
Enough reflection. There are preparations to be made. Nothing lasts. When next you see me, you will understand.
I wonder what the significance of her hiding out the Ghostlands is. That's where she first died, so it makes sense, but it makes me wonder if she plans on raising the rest of the her defeated army, now that she doesn't really have any significant force of her own

You know, the new story stuff wasn't as terrible as I was expecting it to be.
Implying the factions are going away is neat, and "cause as much death as possible for yet-to-be-revealed reasons" seems appropriate for Sylvanas and what her goals all along have been.
But what I don't understand is why she just flies away at the end. The stakes of the battle were very clearly the Horde. He was challenging her for right to rule, essentially. And she kicked his ass. But then she abdicates? She just leaves? That's the part I don't get.

It's Mak'gora, homeboy. Sylvanas may have won the duel, but in doing so, she betrayed the fact that she didn't give a fuck about the Horde, and she cheated by using magic. You can't "win" under those circumstances. She may have beaten Saurfang, but he forced her to show her hand, knowing that the Horde ultimately wouldn't, and couldn't, follow someone who: literally calls the Horde "nothing", and then also violates the sacred rite of Mak'gora. She had no choice but to abdicate her position as Warchief.

I have a distinct feeling that "the Horde is nothing" was based partially off of a headcount of how many left to kill there are.
I mean most of both armies are gone, the Horde isn't much more than a convenient home base, and what's left of the two factions is going to take a healthy hit from N'Zoth.
it's basically impossible to tell how many soldiers the alliance or horde are capable of fielding at any given point in the story up until someone says "yeah we don't have many left"
they fully restock at the start of every expansion and then by the last patch they're like WE'VE ONLY GOT A SINGLE UNIT LEFT CAP'N

I hate the Makgora every fucking time it gets invoked bullshit happens and the story results are flaccid. I have never been “oh shit yeah, Makgora time!” At this point a fucking standard ass Makgora would actually be a shock over this stupid twist bullshit at the end of each one.
And Thrall being all “you cannot win” was fucking....either she cheats, and you ‘win’ or ITS HIGH OVERLORD SAURFANG VERSUS SYLVANNAS WINDRUNNER IN MELEE COMBAT ARE YOU TELLING ME HE DOESNT JUST BODY THE FUCK OUTTA HER

I gotta say, these epic quests lose a lot of their impact and feel when you are doing them on a character who is geared enough to likely happily solo every single NPC currently standing in front of you, simultaneously.
Like, guys, those archers on the walls clearly have about 100k health each, let me just fly up there and AOE them all down in about five seconds, how about that?

I honestly did not read disgust or resentment or anything of the sort from her honor guard. That's part of why I did not understand her leaving. To me the honor guard just stood there and then nodded a couple times. I didn't read enough emotion in the face to make the distinction that even the Forsaken are appalled by Sylvanas. That's the part I missed and why I asked the question.
