NJPWs draw is their talent. That's what sold tickets in the US. They didn't need Kenny to expand worldwide.
True but Kenny certainly accelerated that and I'd be more willing to spend money on watching Kenny in New Japan than anything he's been doing with AEW which has been good but disappointing. His match with PAC was pretty good. I'm optimistic about his bout with Moxley. That said, looking at the G1 this year was like looking at a list of guys Kenny could be having amazing matches with instead of like...Shawn Spears.
Kenny would not have main evented Wrestle Kingdom twice and would not have been the one to end Okada’s legendary reign if they didn’t see a lot of value in him.

I agree that Shawn Spears sucks and Kenny would be having better matches in NJPW.
The Revival have GOT to be out of here at this point. They're like 4 time champions and you wouldn't even know it. And everyone seemed to predict that the New Day would win this match to give star power to that triple threat at SS.
They also need better exit strategies for segments. You've got 8 guys in the ring Vs Imperiums 4 and they're just hanging out inside of the ring instead of going after Imperium.

On the one hand, that's more than fair.
On the other hand, neither of them are fans of triple threat tag matches so they might just be happy to be out of that mess and moved into something more traditional? Or they could defect to NXT ("where tag teams are respected"), maybe even as part of a faction with Balor who has similar gripes. Like... the NXT tag division could certainly use the help.

One thing I've never gotten about Triple Threat Tag Matches: wouldn't they be better off if they were always '3 people in the ring, no tagging in on an opponent' format?

I'd go a step further and say they should be tornado style. No tags, eveybody is legal, free-for-alls

Im just going traditional, if I get it.
Like Mega Man Legends? Then check out my story, Legends of the Halcyon Era - An Adventure in the World of Mega Man Legends on TMMN and AO3!
What an absolutely bonkers show. More companies need actual tournaments of death tbh.

Unless it's elimination format rather than first fall to a finish.
