You know, folks rag on Jeph for introducing so many characters but I think that he does a very good job of gradually pulling focus from some characters (like Marten and Dora) and shifting to more secondary and tertiary characters he introduced in previous stories
Its something that a lot of sitcom style stories could do better rather than continuing to focus on leads who have run their course
