Nothing quite that elaborate. I think we did rock paper scissors more recently. Maybe 2 years ago...
The space one broke my brain a bit, but I do still get a kick out of that book you sent me.

The space one was truly epic.
And a very different experience for me from the gladiatorial contests you'd run previously.
The gladiator one is especially memorable to me because in my last round, an obstacle course, I lost all my health and then finished in first. So my lifeless body flopped through the entire course faster than all the living contestants.
When I get a new machine it's basically tradition that the first thing I play on it is Unreal Tournament. The first one (now 21 years old).
My House has always been a House of Quake, but I respect your tradition.
My first game played on a new rig is usually whichever one ran like dogshit on my old one and caused me to consider upgrading.
Feels so good when you take a game that you were hobbling through at low settings and crank it to high and plants suddenly sprout up on the formerly barren landscape like it's the 4th day of creation.
My old system couldn't even play Assassin's Creed Syndicate on low settings, and was getting maybe 20fps on medium or low settings with a lower resolution for Assassin's Creed Unity. For both games now, on my new system, I can turn everything all the way up and have oomph to spare.
So I went and grabbed the Shadow of the Tomb Raider trial, and ran the benchmark. At what they gave me as default, which was their High settings, 90 fps. With absolutely everything turned up, 33 fps (that includes the highest anti-aliasing that apparently delivers quite the system hit). With just their baseline "Highest" settings (Which doesn't turn on raytraced shadows, level of detail to Ultra, etc), I got 80 fps. And as a final note, this isn't HDR, because my new laptop doesn't have HDR.
Which is still, I think, more than fine.

It's good to see such smug voyeurs brought low!
Actually I got hit, but not for the first post.
However, @MNC Dover was classy enough to offer a "donate to a local food bank" option, so instead of needlessly padding my backlog, he's feeding hungry bellies. Good dude.
I'm sorta tempted to get RDR2 on PC since I thought it played like garbage with a controller and think maybe it'll be better on PC. But I still dunno if I'd be able to run it that well. GPU is hands down enough, but my CPU is starting to show its age a bit. it's an i5-4690K which I think is above the minimum but I want to be sure because even on sale it's a little pricey.
Pretty sure I played this part earlier, heard the cat, and looked everywhere for it, but eventually gave up.

OK, the last of the targets have been hit. Originally, the budget was $15 each and a variety of choices for rewards. But when I realized eShop gift cards didn't come in $15 amounts, everyone got bumped up by $5!
And here are your lucky winners!
@urahonky who kindly requested a Nintendo Switch gift card to get the kids some games to entertain themselves during the quarantine!
@bloodatonement who graciously requested a donation to a local food bank!
@Talus9952 who selflessly asked for a donation to Child's Play!
Once again, thanks to @Pixelated Pixie for unknowingly choosing your fates and for everyone in the Steam thread (and PA community) for being such fantastically generous monsters. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!

Is there any benefit to running a game as borderless fullscreen window vs fullscreen? Noticing that a lot of games are defaulting to the borderless window for some reason.

If you like to alt-tab a lot, borderless fullscreen is better. Otherwise, I can't think of any advantage.

Some games may run better borderless windowed vs full screen on certain display devices for some reason (granblue fantasy vs on my big tv.) otherwise, not really.
This is assuming a single display device, if two+, borderless windowed is life.
Once the Vulkan API got up and running I became pretty confident in my ability to run DOOM 2016 on my original Gameboy, yeah. All the bells and whistles are still a little taxing, but it's an amazingly well-optimized game.

It's actually breathing..the fans come on above the threshold and instantly shut off again. Cool.
AC Odyssey looks great as well and Doom is very pretty.
Can’t wait for the next gen cards, was sad they didn’t give us more info at the nvidia keynote.
Macheted some dudes.
Found a cat, but couldn't pet it.

The only safe way is to never speak
That's what I do. Never speak and don't let anyone know my Steam name. Worked so far.

Oh, that might be handy then. I like to have youtube or twitch going on my other monitor when I'm playing games. I never made that connection before.

This is DOOM 2016? Because from what I hear, that game can basically run shockingly well on a toaster.

I tried that. I even used a different Steam name. They found me.
