Small local thing that made me smile: The warehouse has a sign for the Rensselaer Hydrant Co. Vicarious Visions is from Rensselaer, NY (like 30 minutes from me, been there a few times for volunteer game testing), and used to be home to the Rensselaer Valve Mfg Co who made fire hydrants for almost 100 years.
Apparently a preorder will get you a demo of the warehouse level.
I don't remember where I got it, but when I first got my playstation I had a demo disc that had that level of THPS and the chop chop master onion stage from Parappa the Rapper and some other stuff on it and I played those demos about a billion times.
I'm pretty sure I have that demo disc or one very similar in the loft still. I used to collect one of the Playstation magazines back in the day. I've still got the discs along with the both my PS1 and PS2. I should dust them off one of these days.

Noisey just put up a vid with the reveal of all the new songs, along with some performances, gameplay footage, and short interviews with some of the skaters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4pF9PLeNAc
50 songs in total now, with all the originals except for 5 (Cyco Vision, Committed, Bring The Noise, Out With The Old, B-Boy Document 99) plus another 35+ new songs (some artists are listed twice, wasn't sure how to count them)
Also, if you look closely, you can now skip tracks in-game without restarting a run, hell yeah
also looking at soundtrack lists on the THPS wiki introduced me to the South Korean PC version of THPS 2 which has 7 new tracks from a K-pop band called Fin.K.L and they're all playable characters????????

Oh awesome, I love Alex Lahey. Misery Guts isn't my favourite song of hers (it's pretty different to the rest of her work) but I'm still chuffed that she's in.
My best THPS memory is my freshman year of high school my best friends parents were out of town and his brother had a big party. My friend had me over and while the older kids were partying hard, dropping acid, smoking pot, drinking, and doing the sex, him and I just sat in the living room, oblivious to the chaos around us, playing THPS2.

My friend and I got hooked on the Mac version of THPS2, so most of my muscle-memory has my fingers all scrunched together on the arrow keys & WASD. When someone brought a playstation into the senior lounge at school and we took turns playing vs, I tried to use a controller and basically just ran into walls the whole round.
My best Tony Hawk memory took place in 2003. Lollapalooza had a stop in my state, I drove an hour out to go. There was an XBox tent, showcasing various XBox games and holding tournaments throughout the day. One of the tournaments was for Tony Hawk - can't remember if it was THPS4 or THUG, but I think the latter.
Anyway, I entered the Tony Hawk tournament, and won. I got a skate deck autographed by Tony Hawk, a stack of video games, and got to go backstage to meet bands. Got to meet Jane's Addiction (INCREDIBLY nice dudes), Incubus (INCREDIBLY high dudes), Audioslave (INCREDIBLY confused why they had to talk to some nerd who was good at a skateboarding game). It was pretty neat!

Huh, so I guess Lizzie Armanto is in the game. Hopefully that opens up the door for more skaters who were never in a game.*
*Yeah she was in THPS5 but come on...come on...
Kareem Campbell is still perhaps the most underrated skater of all time
Granted I still listen to Aqua and Cascada, but those games definitely tried to help me

also a boxed copy of this is only $5 and I'm actually tempted
And Screaming Females!
"Bring The Noise", back in?
Given how much of the media for this game revolves around which iconic THPS songs are missing I won't be surprised when they all get in.

They added wallplants from THUG to the remake
Adding all of the new moves might break the difficulty of some of the levels.
Kotaku article about the demo says you can enable mods so you can't use new moves (and also turn off bails for difficulty accessibility)
early impressions of the demo say it's exactly what everyone wants
goddamn I wouldve fucking marked out
