In the last session I finally got to kick off my mech, the White Witch's, hyperactive mode that detonates its ferrofluid armor around it every time it gets hit with an attack. So I waded into a loose grouping of 4-5 enemies and then fired my magnetic cannon that lets me pull enemies hit by it towards me so they'd be within range of that. My variable armor was really high so I was able to ignore most of their attacks, but then they shivved me with their armor piercing knives made out of light and my mech was completely destroyed. But I ejected safely and we made it out of that encounter victorious!

This just made me realize that mechs are a really good implementation of player "death."
You could have a mech be full of upgrades/customizations/personality so that it's a real loss if it gets destroyed, but your character can acquire a new one and still naturally have whatever skills/resources/party relationships they had.

Well, as long sniper doesn't brick the printer, they should be able to reproduce it indefinitely.

Tactical ejections in Titanfall are one of the best parts of the game. Getting into a situation where you're outnumbered, but being able to rush and then nuke eject and level 2-3 enemy mechs is so ridiculously satisfying when you pull it off.

A couple friends of mine have been really wanting to sink their teeth into a new builder game and also something co-op that can accommodate more than 4 people, so I pulled the trigger last night and rented a private Conan Exiles server.
I wasn't sure how this would go. I liked a lot of the game's individual elements the last time I played, but it was just a bit too janky and opaque in key spots to stick with.
It's a lot better now, and not having to worry about randoms is a real boon. We've got a cool settlement underway, and I find myself actually looking forward to what I'm going to make, even though survival builders aren't usually my thing. I think Conan's strong theming really helps with that.

I just realized that we both charged up our limited-use super moves in that fight and then failed to actually hit anyone* with them
*I got hacked and fired my multi-turn charged up armor shredding sextuple barreled lightning chest-cannon at an allied npc and this does not count

I haven't played with randos on Exile, I just did my own thing. That's fun for only so long though. I can see it being great with a group of people. Especially the dungeons.

four or five of us went into a tomb last night and fought a giant crocodile that wrecked our shit until I noticed that there were a bunch of platforms and colums in the central chamber. we all climbed up high, our of its reach, and peppered the beast with arrows while our one guy with a spear kept it aggroed and from returning to its nest
it felt incredibly primal, like this team of howling monkeys bringing down an enraged antelope in the veldt
The husband and I went fishing this morning. It's the first time I've ever fished. We didn't catch anything, but I had a lot of fun. I want to do it again soon.
I'm hooked.

No. The one in Colorado was being happy about low 80's/high 70's.

Yes, but only because I am getting raided?
It's definitely a "make your own adventure" kind of game, but I really like it.
