In the last session I finally got to kick off my mech, the White Witch's, hyperactive mode that detonates its ferrofluid armor around it every time it gets hit with an attack. So I waded into a loose grouping of 4-5 enemies and then fired my magnetic cannon that lets me pull enemies hit by it towards me so they'd be within range of that. My variable armor was really high so I was able to ignore most of their attacks, but then they shivved me with their armor piercing knives made out of light and my mech was completely destroyed. But I ejected safely and we made it out of that encounter victorious!
I just realized that we both charged up our limited-use super moves in that fight and then failed to actually hit anyone* with them
*I got hacked and fired my multi-turn charged up armor shredding sextuple barreled lightning chest-cannon at an allied npc and this does not count
Also one of their npc buddies got shot at the end of the last episode by an unknown assailant and they're locked in the cargo bay of their ship with the unknown assailant and I'm real excited about it. DON'T WORRY I'M SURE IT'S FINE

On June 13, 1978 in a Pennsylvania suburb, the entirety of Harrisburg middle school -- some 2,300 students -- lined up in a schoolyard and attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the largest tug of war game ever played. Instead, disaster ensued.
Twelve minutes into the match, the 2,000-foot-long braided nylon rope snapped, recoiling several thousand pounds of stored energy. “It sounded like someone pulled the string on a party cracker,” recalled 14-year-old participant Shannon Meloy. “I smelled something burning and I thought it was the rope...but it was hands. I looked down and saw...blood.” In the ensuing chaos, nearly 200 students lay wounded -- five with severed fingertips, and one missing a thumb. Hundreds more faced second-degree burns. “It was just a game,” another student told the Gadsden Times a day later. “We just wanted to see how many could do it.”
The rope, provided by Pennsylvania Power and Light Co., had been intended for use in heavy construction, and was rated to withstand 13,000 pounds of stress.
late but i've been reading scps since we talked about them in chat the other day and now this has very powerful creepypasta energy to me

@Crimson King I thought this exact same thing because one of the antimemetics tales specifically deals with a phenomenon where people's fingers in one unidentified town keep getting cut off

I'm taking a look at Imoen's stats and uh they don't seem ideal for a Thief? Her Strength is real low, which if I understand correctly means her melee is gonna suck. But aren't Thieves supposed to be all about melee sneak attacks? Can you do ranged sneak attacks?
Her Intelligence is actually a very decent 17, which means she might actually be a good Mage? Should I dual class her? If so what, is the ideal level to do that?
Also come to think of it, I gave the Lancer party three fancy one use toys and I don't think they used any of them in that fight!
Gonna have to ramp up the difficulty.
we lost two mechs and our npc ally!
I was really trying to use the Fortress Protocol! But as the name suggests it was a Protocol (had to be used as the first thing on my turn) that rooted me in place, and I spent that entire fight desperately needing to move across the entire map on every turn (first to try and save Sara, and then to try and escape with the wreckage formerly known as Sara)

My wife is watching prank videos on YouTube, and a lot of these are super fucked up.
Am I just getting old?
It was messed up when that stuff would be on funniest home videos and it is even more messed up as YouTube let's people do worse and worse "pranks."
Funniest home videos was never really funny, but it lacked malice. Like dad accidentally gets hit in the nuts trying to dive into the water, or youngster has an epic fail on the tire swing.
But some of these YouTube ones are like, I’m going to throw mice on my girlfriend while she’s sleeping. :bigfrown:

@Silas Brown No ranged sneak attacks. She does make a good mage! If you're doing a full 1 to 2+expansion be careful not to do it too late since Mages have high xp requirements and it'll take forever for her to get her thief skills back if you're running a full party. 9 is recommended for Fighter/Mages, unsure about Thiefs.
Then there's the whole Multi vs Dual class thing and I can't remember

haha yes, in BG2 she is dual classed to mage! She is also someone who 'canonically' is in your party, although you don't have to care about (like I played an evil runthrough once and at the beginning of BG2 it assumed you were traveling with Minsc and Dynaheir and I was like nah bro I killed both of them for the Red Wizards of Thay, fuck right off with your hamster--but it doesn't feel like it breaks immersion)--she is the one person though, if you choose anyone, who you should adventure with because she is Plot Relevant.
So Find Traps and Knock are both spells (cleric idk what lvl, low though, and wizard lvl 2 I want to say?), so you do not really need a thief at all if you don't want.
Idk how sneak attack mechanics work--it's not like in Pathfinder the videogame where people just sneak attack whenever an enemy is being attacked by a second person; I think you do have to get in behind them. I would honestly dual class her immediately/as soon as you have access to Find Traps/Knock, because I'm impatient. However in BG2 I think she was dual classed more like level...7 or 8?

I started working on adding deck functionality to my game instead of just randomly generating cards and uh
I think I need to tear half of it down and everything is breaking.

As you know, we are making a temporary exception to our travel funds policy in order to give Customers additional time to utilize their travel funds in the future, if the creation date of the funds fell within certain time frames. Specifically, we are extending the expiration date in the following scenarios:
• Customers’ funds that expired or will expire between March 1 - September 7, 2020, will now expire September 7, 2022
• Any newly created travel funds because of a flight cancellation between March 1 - September 7, 2020, will have an expiration date of September 7, 2022
That said, your travel funds were created on September 9,2019 and expire on September 9,2020. As such, we are unable to honor your request for an extension on the funds being held
2 year extension missed by 2 days. Which we had to get credit because of a death in the family. Fucking amazing.

Yeah, sneak attacks require you to actually have the character stealthed (I don't think invisibility works, but invisibility allows you to immediately re-stealth) and attacking a target facing away (it's got some leeway in the angle)
then some are incorporated into EE and some aren't and blaghhhhhh
I've never played with mods. I can tell you my best friend thinks Solaufein is the best (BG2 only I think? Not sure)
I am curious about EE cause there are new characters and that's cool! But I'm not in the mood yet.
Hm I don't mind the inventory management at all but that's just cause this is what I was raised on.
