It's very strange watching Patrick Klepek's Spelunky 2 streams
He's clearly talented at this game - he can do platforming things that I know I would struggle with
But his priorities are so wildly different than mine would be, with the things he picks up and the things he will be willing to expend bombs and ropes for and so on

I've never been as good at Spelunky as I was at the original Spelunky - that's the one I played all through college and learned on, and the controls all feel slightly off when trying to play the more polished form. Plus like all the little tricks and such that you use work differently (e.g. it used to be much easier to kill shopkeeps, you could equip bombs and ropes to drop them off ledges and trigger traps without wasting them), that sort of thing.
I've still played and beaten the officially released version of the game, but I never got good enough to do Hell or anything like that, and at least part of that is because that was never in the original (at least to my recollection).

I had this when I tried to stream it yesterday. The servers must have been slammed. Downloaded it overnight and now no issues.
