I really hope the less-subscribed girls don't let it get to them. I can't imagine how strong the urge to compare yourself to the more successful members of your group is, despite 180k subscribers still being an absolutely massive number.

I can already see a blurring effect that will probably start to have an impact as the schedule fills a certain number of times over. Every part of my instinct tells me that this is not sustainable, and I think there will be a little culture shock over here when the popular ones in the US start to retire. I think Okayu's talked about this at length.

based on Kiara's superchat stream the fanbase she has is already passionate and giving. she's still growing pretty fast too, there's another 5k subscribers since yesterday.
it is crazy how good the hololive marketing and scouting teams must be getting. they might've smashed things out of the park with EN because of how quickly they seem to be growing both overseas and in japan.

This brings a potentially entirely new and frightening aspect to shrimp chips.
gawr is doing her first Superchat right now, and not that it's too surprising at this point but the amount of donations coming in is frankly staggering
so what is a superchat stream exactly, is it just a stream for giving them money
when you donate, you can attach a message with it that will be highlighted so that it stands out, and generally the streamer will go out of their way to read out the donation messages (or as many of them as they can)
but yeah the main thing is just donations (it's basically youtube's response to Twitch's built-in donation system)
Last night all the EN girls scheduled streams without posting what they were doing during them and turns out it was an announcement stream that their accounts got cleared for superchat. The amount of superchats they are getting is insane so there will be a separate stream to read and reply to all of them.

It's a real-money version of Twitch's "use channel points to highlight a chat message" function. I think you can attach any amount of money you want but the default is $5 which is the same cost of becoming a member on a YouTube channel so pieShrug.
