I had a dream last night where I had to ADC for Fnatic in the LEC and it was very stressful. I was like uhhhhhh I'm hardstuck Gold 2 I do not think I'm going to be able to help you and what happens when the casters start talking about how I'm gold????
Rekkles was my support and talked to me about how it was more fun to play toplane champions than ADC.
...?? ok thanks brain. The dream did skip ahead to a point where we'd won our first match and I was like oh weird, I wonder how that happened, maybe I managed not to feed.

If it makes you feel better, I have the occasional recurring dream where I subbed in as the C9 jungle back in "the old days" (like when Meteos was first getting shuffled out) and played a match or few. It varies whether I was useless and we won anyway or I was useless and we lost a game and I get subbed back out and we still win the series. I don't think I usually have conversations with any of the players, though; it's always like after the match happens?
Dreams are weird.

So I logged in tonight after not playing for...a long time.
My password didn't work. No worries, I reset it, I mean its an old password so I probably just forgot.
Played a game and was curious about when I last actually played. Huh...10/05/20...thats weird. And I'm somehow Silver IV? And someones been buying Champions and skins and stuff with BE. I don't have a credit card attached to this account or anything but like...who just steals and account to have?

I fixed my headset and microphone issues! I can now hear people in discord and the game at the same time

Bjerg has retired in order to become TSM's new coach.
Wow. Just wow.
I'm shocked. I hadn't heard this until reading this. Dude was still a top 3, if not the number one, mid laner in na lcs. For him to retire.... Did he have wrist issues like hai or was he just tired of the game ? Just can't believe he's retire when he's still one of the best in na
Then again they finally went to world's and he got showed up. Whoooooooooa, tsm world memes.

Dude can still play though
Maybe he wants to have a girlfriend and not live in a house with a bunch of other gamers. Like I bet coach has way better work-life balance/work-life separation--although unclear whether pro players have any concept of that since they've been in the system since they were 18 and don't know what a job with reasonable hours looks like.
I think there's something pretty neat about retiring while you're still on top of your game--like he can happily say he was best mid NA, instead of retiring later as someone new on the scene is better than him.

Yeah, better to go out on top, like Michael Jordan, than stick around way past your prime, like Michael Jordan.

went back into the ranked mines to see if i could get to gold before the season ended from silver 2 0 LP. been on a pretty good tear, 75% winrate going back to my roots as a jinx one trick. at like 50 something LP in silver 1, so hopefully things keep up enough to get into gold.
def playing a lot better on jinx after playing a bunch of mid and not-adc.

none of the rito songs have ever done anything for me except for popstars.
i keep hoping to recapture that magic but just not for me i guess. i am interested to try seraphine though.
This one feels mega bland to me although I think the rap part is interesting, cause it feels more like American rap than like kpop rap in all sorts of ways. I wonder if that is a deliberate choice to appeal to a broader audience or if it’s because the song was possibly produced by people who don’t do kpop as their mainstay.
The cinematography on the m/v reminds me a lot of blackpink and the costumes maybe do? Idk what the costumes feel like; they seem really familiar but I can’t place them.
Unfortunately the song is utterly unmemorable to me. Pop/stars was so catchy! The baddest is kind of growing on me though so maybe this one will too? Hard to say.
Edit: overall songwise I still really like Riot’s Vi song and their Jinx song. Those were great!
true i was more meaning songs from the this band is in the game songs in the kda era, true damage and whatnot. the worlds songs are usually decent, and as a jinx otp at heart, i've always enjoyed get jinxed.
i think this one basically is done once the akali bit at the beginning is over yea, that's the only part that really stands out at all. random aside, it is weird just how hard they lean into her motorcycle in the music video and it's nowhere to be seen in the ingame skin.
i also think ahri looks like... not ahri. idk, ahri changes a lot from skin to skin but in the music video she doesn't even look like kda ahri. face is very different.

All aboard the swain train

i played a game against swain brand today in botlane, it was extremely painful.
we ended up winning mostly by just somehow only dying like twice with lulu/jinx and then we won the scaling fight, but god damn that sucked lol.

Basically, researchers fed data and used it to categorize four types of champions for each position on the map based on the data clusters they found. Junglers, for instance, can be categorized as 3-camp -> gank, engage tanks, farmers, or basically assassins (I forget their specific term). Similarly, supports are brawlers (like Sett, Pantheon, Shen, and Senna), enchanters (low kill-threat), engage tanks, or mages.* Not all of the champions are where you might expect to find them, but I would argue it's an interesting outline for how a champ is "supposed" to be played, and it has data analysis behind it!
* I actually love their title for this last one, which is "Mid Main, Filled Support."

this is interesting, but i'm unsure about any metric that puts jinx into the same bucket as lucian draven and kalista.
jinx is much more farm the map than lane brawler with her literally instant clear of any waves after 2 items and ridiculous aspd steroid letting her kill any tower if you walk away for 10 seconds. her early teamfighting is ok but i wouldn't say it's a strength and heavily reliant on the support.

To me jinx has good lane presence--I feel like I can trade nicely and often quite safely
...it's very unclear why I don't play more jinx actually, huh
Oh and I just played seraphine in flex; she is dead easy, very similar kit to Neeko, who is also very easy to play. Not really sure what her damage output is yet or anything cause it was a low ranked flex game but yeah, she's chill to play as.

Like seriously, wtf? Normally youd report your account for being stolen, but they bought stuff and leveled it up.
At this point, you're kind of stealing their account lol
