Question, but it's 100% not related to Castlevania at all, so I'll put it in a spoiler:
What happened to Henroid? They appear to have been banned? Anyone know what happened?
I'll try to summarize in the spoiler, because I don't know if the Private Message Feature is still present, but Ill be as respectful as I can, with respect to the PA Mods
I think he got banned from D and D for the immigration thread, even though, and once again, with respect to the PA Mods I highly disagree with the decision to ban Henroid, when he basically was stating his point of view on that respective thread.
and I'll leave it at that, with respect to the topic.

I enjoyed the ending enough, but 1/2 are definitely the high point.
Lenore's ending was... fitting, I guess, if random, but I wanted to see them as a power couple a la Trevor and Sypha.
I don't mind Dracula and Lisa having another chance, just more curious how this is going to work into the canon where Dracula is constantly coming back and is constantly a bad guy.
Shaft, I guess, to set off SotN? I'm fine with that.

I'd say it's noticeable but not nearly as important as the SP breakpoint at m1? More damage and healing is always good, and the longer stun is nice whenever it procs. The slight RNG nature of the stun procs + the general tendency to just plop Mudrock down somewhere and then focus on something else makes it harder to really tell how much of an improvement it is, but I certainly haven't regretted M3ing it.
Definitely not needed for general use though; next CC is where I'm really interested in seeing how it performs.
So I'm trying to figure out what I need to change my base to. I think I posted a few weeks ago but couldn't find the response to it.
I'm at 1/5/3 with max right side, and I've got ~1800 exp tickets but not enough LMD to use them. I guess 2/5/2 is what I should switch to, and I think that means I'll have 1 lvl 3 factory, 4 lvl 2 factories, 1 lvl 2 dorm, and 3 lvl 1 dorms. That sound right? I have most or all production skills that are good.
I couldn't help but notice that there were quite a few bits where the characters were repeating themselves. Like when Carmilla was telling Lenore about her plans, and later when Lenore was talking about it with Hector. "Carmilla's gonna do this. I did this. Carmilla's gonna do this. Then I did this. Carmilla said she's gonna do this."
Almost as if something happened and the writer wasn't able to do a final pass on the script.
Yeah, there's at least three points I can recall where the character reiterates the same speech at least twice. I think Carmilla does it like three times, so it's especially bad there. Comrade Vampire definitely repeats himself in his self-important speech. Pretty sure Trevor repeats himself later on.
That's the sort of thing I don't get because I'm not a writer and I could absolutely review that script and say "we need to fix these lines". I'm a hundred percent sure I could even do it myself and it wouldnt sound any different than the rest of the series. So I guess the script just got no review whatsoever from anybody at any point?

It would also make Aria of Sorrow tricky if Dracula doesn't die permanently somehow, since it's supposed to be about his true reincarnation and heir.
There, JT8-3 done so I have an auto-deploy for it.

Three episodes in (stupid busy life), and woof, this season's taking its sweet time getting anywhere. I mean, I like and appreciate all the quiet character beats, but it's pretty overwhelming when there's like 47 different characters to give them to.

We haven't finished the season yet either and this is an ongoing problem. Several characters launch several minute monologues where they say the same thing over and over and over. Wife fell asleep last night during the second in the same episode. Oh whoops that has been mentioned.

Okay having finished the season:
Day armor? What the hell? This really ruined immersion for me. If vampires can just wear armor and be immune to daylight and apparently they have enough for all the armies of Strya(sp?) why are they not wearing it constantly? Always seemed to me like daylight just killed vampires in this reality and vampires just worked around that by being inside or underground or something. Most of them can teleport even. It seems a silly thing to stick on but come on. Maybe they should make holy water armor, or edged weapon armor. And its easy enough to make that they can have their whole army in it?
Then the whole trevor and syfa plot but especially targovista just seemed like wasting time. Also Trevor seems to have forgotten he has a whip that instantly explodes anything he is fighting for the duration of the season almost killing him over and over while he randomly tries out whatever random object he is near as a weapon.
And the monologuing was out of control. Carmilla and varney's buddy were really bad.
Saint Germain randomly trusting some mysterious stranger seems a bit off for his character but maybe he just really loves and misses steampunk-april-o-neil to the point of not thinking things through.

Armor
Presumably because, like any other armor, that shit gets tiring after a while. And because if it gets damaged at all, it's no longer effective, so you save that for when you really need it.
Whips
Can't fight in tight rooms with a whip. A whip isn't that different from a spear in that way, if the enemy gets too close to you you've lost all of its advantages and are just vulnerable, and if you're in a corridor there's nowhere to swing the thing.
Plus those other weapons were cool as hell, especially the dope Krull glaive.

Trevor really lucked out in the previous season being able to fight the beast in a basement that was large enough to actually let him wield not one, but two whips lmao
Actually took a second to figure out where the material recipes were for Mudrock (were those stages added with Chapter 8?) and with that done, I was able to get:
-E2 Mudrock
-E2 Rosmontis
-Guard Amiya
All in the last 2 days. I gave in and bought the guarantee for Bagpipe, so she'll be E2 once I finish adding levels to her (mats all prepped and G2G).
Looking forward, units I'd still like to get are Suzuran, Nian, Blemishine, and Eunectes, but I'm not suffering for the lack of them.

I guess. If I were a vampire I'd be living in that stuff. Better to be tired then dead. Like those aliens from signs that died from contact with water and mastered interstellar travel but couldn't quite figure out protective clothing.
Yeah to be fair the amount of whip on that whip was pretty silly. I thought the glaive was supposed to be the boomerang.
Was that rotting dragon thing a boss from one of the DS games? It seemed very familiar.
The glaive is the "Cross" subweapon. Trevor even explains some fun stuff about that shape in the setting as it is introduced.
I really liked the bit where he explains why vampires fear the cross - not because it's some innate holy symbol, but because two perpendicular shapes blocking off their field of vision screws with their hyper-sensitive predatory sight and sends them into instinctive panic mode.

Double post, but I finally beat the special condition for M8-6. I had a practice run completely smoothly, then in the real thing Angelina and Perfumer were stalling the last spear chucker from killing the front shield guy for a crucial couple of seconds until a melee unit could spawn one more time. Probably only double digit HP left on that guy, but he didn't drop.

Never played that game, but I knew that bastard had to be a big-time boss or enemy from one of the games, he just got way too much screentime to be a nothing enemy.
Still not done (and not clicking any spoilers yet) but I got a kick out of how the first episode managed to squeeze in a few iconic Castlevania monsters that hadn't shown up yet, like skeletons, flea men, and
Death. Well, a discussion of Death.

I tried M8-6 quite a few times yesterday and couldn't get it with my teams. I tried a few different strats, but couldn't find a Thorns to borrow and attempt to just kill everything before they get to the shieldbros.
I got it once in practice but couldn't do it again.

Thorns didn't work for me on this one. Maybe Ability 2, but I didn't think of trying it. His range from behind the shield bros doesn't solve anything, if they get in range, the first guy is already going to die, basically (unless you push the units left, I guess). The key units for my run were SilverAsh and Surtr, both of whom can comfortably attack from that one tile on the right without needing to be put in the upmost tile of certain death.

For this stage Thorns would go in the mid lane on the right side, facing up, to cover top lane and those 3 Sarkaz.

With an extremely tanky blocker to trap people on that spot, that could work. SilverAsh is flatly superior though, he hits 5 at once and they rush like crazy.

Yeah, he’s the boss there because that level is based on a bunch of locations in Dawn of Sorrow. It’s neat how the levels are basically entire maps from the respective games stitched into one continuous level.

It also appears in Harmony of Despair.
At around 3:30, you can see his laser pass through the player's screen.
I loved this game, it was so bonkers. I never did play the DLC levels and characters very much. Having 8-bit Simon as a playable DLC character was a fun idea.
My Backloggery
So many hours. I really loved it, especially when they added local coop on the PS3 version.
I only played it on Xbox, but I bought it on PS3 because of the local co-op. Maybe one day I'll even play it!
