It's funny which one of those spoilers is the bigger shock to me.
I am so, so fucking excited about the one that is very obviously not the one Marvel would expect me to be hyped about.
I urge anyone to please resist clicking if you haven't been spoiled yet. I would have dropped dead in the theater.
Both of these have been known for so long, it was just Disney playing coy.
Spidey spoilers
I didnt believe the Daredevil one.
It just never seemed to have anything really backing it up, and comes out of nowhere. There's no real reason to do it, they already are introducing a billion characters from Spideys various movies - it seemed too busy to include a random Netflix show and I assumed with everyone else coming back the rumor mill added him in and it stuck because there's so much else happening.
I'm really, really pleasantly surprised.
I'm on board with it!
figure he's got like 2 minutes of screen time at most, he'll be in 1 scene to get Peter clear of the murder charges, with maybe a cute hint about him being a superhero.
Only weird part is... I fully expect this to occur before the multiverse shenanigans bring over the villains, as I don't expect much time for sitting down with lawyers after that point. So he's native to the MCU already. Which would kinda imply at least the Netflix Daredevil show is mostly canon?
Good, then we need Shang-Chi to
clown Finn Jones’s Danny Rand
and then we never speak of it again
Crazy thought.
Give the proper budget and training and we get this.
I still want the Immortal Weapons / Hidden City arc.

Like many of you, I thought Eternals was okay. Not a disaster / it was fine, but definitely too long and the writing was a bit....poor. The one thing that got me though, is....

The partial emergence and then Arishem showing up personally in the sky above Earth should be huge levels of WHAT THE FUCK in other Marvel films.

I assume it will be in the future. But also this is like, "half of the world disappeared for five years, nothing is really surprising anymore" at this point :P

People panicked a bit when he showed up, and I'm sure it will be on the news, but like an enormous hand and face appearing in the ocean... MCU civilians are kind of used to this sort of thing now after multiple alien invasions and the blip. Probably wouldn't even bat an eye at Galactus.
"Something just tried to eat the Earth!"
"Yeah, but it's all good now. Want to grab a pizza?"
They go the Ultimate Gah Lak Tus route and his herald starts the ball rolling with a small religion that welcomes the planet devourer and that it's not a big guy in a purple suit, or if it is, it's a combination like Byrne's idea that each race sees Galactus differently, which is why we see him as a giant human like figure. If the anti-vaxx and Trump set have shown, there's no shortage of dumbasses who will embrace their own destruction if you package it nicely.

If the leaks from the 2022 slate are as good as Spider-Man, the sky is the limit on spoilers. Shang Chi tomorrow, liking this reasonably fast release to D+ cycle with the movies.

The Celestials are big guys, and they're around already. Classic Galactus will fit right in.
I did always like a lot about Ultimate Galactus though. Mostly the build-up, with Gah Lak Tus presented as almost this eldritch abomination, instilling despair and religious extremism into humanity as a prelude to its arrival. The ultimate Surfers were creepy as hell. Plus that version of the Ultimate Nullfier was awesome. But on the whole I think I'd prefer classic to be made into a movie. I'm hoping they eventually touch on the Aspects, hinted at already in the first GotG.

Really? They almost had Sam/Captain America there? That makes no damn sense to me. Why the hell would he know anything about a mystical sword? Dr. Strange would have been ok, but yeah, I like what they went with (also I guess it's now 100% confirmed it was Blade).
I wonder if this means the next Captain America with Sam is gonna have some kind of Black Knight cameo tho... (or maybe it was at one point)
Also this isn't surprising but basically Eternals writer says "maybe" on future Galactus:
I also kinda agree with the article that Galactus is more of a F4 villain but also it's weird that they think Eternals 2 (which has not be announced) would come out before Fantastic 4 (which has been announced...). Also, there is no way Fantastic 4 is not just gonna be Dr. Doom I feel... he's like THE F4 villain...
Fanbyte’s MH Williams; it would appear Black Panther 2 is going to be running into some issues between Letitia Wright’s injury, fervent anti-Vax position and leaving the US to recoup given the law for vaccinations and entering the country right now:
The only thing I can find related to Gina Carano is that one of her costars said she was his favorite to work with. No sites mentioning her getting the job back. It’s possible I suppose, but I highly doubt it.

Ok, this is kind of a cool theory and I sorta want it to happen now (some Eternals spoilers in the video so spoilering it here):
I would be really curious to see if they try to bring Ghostrider into the MCU (minus the questionably canon Agents of SHIELD stuff). But it definitely does feel like Marvel might be trying to build up a Midnight Sons team with a lot of these upcoming Disney+ shows. I don't really know much about a lot of these characters but the whole thing seems pretty cool so I'm on board
Okoye, M'Baku, or multiverse Killmonger. Please, Disney.
There are rumors Disney has walked back the firing of Gina Carano (Mandalorian) recently, so if true, they don't give a shit about bad PR
Multiverse Killmonger. So disappointed they killed him off, he was one of the best villains they've had so far and in a lot of the movie, I was kinda rooting for him over BP.
I can't see Carano coming back really, she's onboard the anti vaxx train now too. There's some super nebulous twitter post asking her if the report of her coming back is true - that's it, no actual citations. Her being a good co worker doesn't really conflict with being kind of a loon, you can be both. Write the character out, plenty of talent that replace her.

The problem is, the griping about the average internet goer isn't really a blip on the collective radar. Disney's only going to care if everyone(re: major networks) take notice, which is super unlikely, since Disney literally owns one of them(ABC).
That said, the best we can probably hope for is Wright waking up and acknowledging that she's being a goose and getting vaccinated. Highly unlikely, but Disney can be pretty persuasive.

Basically as long as Wright is refusing to get vaxxed, that means she can’t re-enter the US given current restrictions. Which means Disney either has to move production or hold it until those restrictions are lifted or Wright finally gets vaccinated, if they want to keep her on board. And both of those, as the saying goes, fucks with the money.

I didn’t like M’Baku? I didn’t really get his tribe’s Thing beyond “I don’t like T’Challa very much”.
That said, Okoye BP would be 150% alright with me.
Aw, I like M'Baku. I think his appearance in Black Panther made him a pretty interesting antagonist - leader of a different tribe, effectively a king who has to be subservient to another. He loses the challenge and seems pretty humiliated and resents the royal family, but when Ramonda offers him the last Heart Shaped Herb to kill Eric, he does the right thing and let's T'Challa take it instead.
Plus the Jabari in general are interesting - they got a wildly different culture, use wood based tech instead of vibranium yet they can stand up to the border tribe and Thanos' army. They're cool as hell.
But! I don't see M'Baku ever wearing a panther costume. He worships a different god.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I finally got to see "Shang Chi."
Why don't his friends believe them at the end of the movie? Apparently the bus fight of Shang Chi vs. supervillains went worldwide viral, and it would have been a major news story for the people who lived in the area. Did they not hear about that? Did the friend not bother to contact Shang and Katy the whole time they were gone to see how they were doing? She hasn't been wondering where they were this whole time?

What a terrible friend.
I'm pretty sure there's a bus fight every other hour in California
They should have just recast T'Challa. It's not the first time in history someone has passed and their role needed recasting, and instead of carrying on the character and what they mean/symbolize/represent, they've just inserted a bunch of logistical hoops to avoid doing so. Given how much Boseman cared about the role I don't see why he would want it to go with him. The character is a king and that is unique to him, you can't just have one of the guards take over the role.

To a certain extent I think Hollywood has confused respecting an actor and their role with commodifying the actor as the role, and this is a result.

Killmonger was really freaking murdery in the first movie. He shot his girlfriend in order to get Klaw. If you multiversed him you'd have to really establish that he wasn't that guy.
M'Baku on the other hand is a decent dude and would have good conflict between his traditionalist and isolationist tendencies and T'Challa's desire to open up Wakanda and have a positive influence on the larger world.
One thing is that Winston Duke (M'Baku's actor) is 6'5'' and 250 pounds. The dude is big. It'd be interesting to see what they do with the fight choreography with him.
Shut up, Mr. Burton! You were not brought upon this world to get it!
Do a story where a rookie black cop who is disenfranchised because of what is happening with policing in the US finds a Black Panther suit (bonus if it's one of the kids from the first BP) and decides to become a vigilante. Basically take the Caspar Cole BP series and use it to relaunch BP in the MCU.
