I was asking for a clarification because Zonny denied TV movies.
If Batman vs TMNT is allowed I'm putting it in.

This kind of exercise really makes you confront just how broad and amazing the corpus of filmic tradition really is, and how trifling it can feel to attempting to create a top fifty list. How could you choose? Surely more than fifty films deserve to be recognized throughout the ages as great contributions to art and progress?

So, we just concluded a nearly identical thread related to this community determining the top 50 games of all time. And I imagine some folks are still ragin' and fumin' from that experience. Well, let's build on that anger with capital-A interest.
In this thread we'll "scientifically" decide what the community of SE++ thinks are the 50 best films of all time.
The ground rules, in no particular order:
-- Each post you make can add one film to the definitive list of the 50 best films of all time, and once our communal list reaches 50, you may instead replace an existing film with your choice. For organizational clarity, please copy & paste the existing list of movies with your changes at the top of your post. For readability's sake, let's continue the tradition of having the list be in alphabetical order.
Example:
"Add: Scream Blacula Scream"
Current List:
"-- Scream Blacula Scream"
Example 2:
"Remove: Scream Blacula Scream"
"Add: The Meteor Man"
"*section of the post where I would copy and paste the master list of 50 games, but now my change is added*"
-- You cannot add or replace the same film more than once per person.* If you really think Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure needs to be on this list, or Zack Snyder's Justice League doesn't, you'll have to convince others.
-- If you're adding a film with multiple versions (I.e. reboots, remakes, ect...), please specify the year alongside it.
-- When this thread hits Page 100, that's it, no more debating about the top 50 ever, you had your chance.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

List needs Satoshi Kon.
...but not yet.
Instead let's go to Takeshi Miike.
Add: Blade of the Immortal Cut: Nightmare on elm street (1984)
Look, Freddy's alright, I guess, but lat's face it, Wes was still just warming up. Blade of the Immortal is the 100th movie by an absolute machine of a Director, who's responsible for some of the best horror, action, comedy... actually, he's pretty much covered every genre. I'll be bringing Takeshi Miike back again later.
Freddy has a blade hand? Manji is an Immortal cursed ronin who adopts the blades of every one he kills. So against mooks, he's fine, but as he gets into boss battles, he slowly digs his way through a veritible swiss army arsenal of blades pulled somewhat comically continually from inside his kimono. Like all Miike joints, it's big, loud, brash and fun, with absolute acres of character and dumb fun.. plus gore, violence, dark humour and more than a touch of the supernatural.
That's unbelievably cool. Your new name is cool guy. Let's have sex.

It's a damned shame we've already cut 10 things, because with 7 Samurai, 12 Angry Men, and 13 Assassins, we could make a concerted effort to fill slots 1-13 with movies starting 1-13.
Edit: I guess we could bring in the Third Man for 3, too.
