I think I’m going to apply for a California nursing license
You know

What do you see as the advantage of California over Washington, if you don't mind my asking?
Pros:
- Sun
- Beach
- Good Mexican food
- Better pay
- Slightly cheaper CoL
- MauiGirl
Cons:
- traffic
- need a car to navigate said traffic
- MauiGirl
Where in Cali because most of the good places with beaches I don't think have a cheaper COL than Seattle.
Not after taxes probably + I'd rather go afield for cheaper housing (re: yards) in Seattle than in San Diego. But I think North Park and maybe some other areas (Banker's Hill)? are still tolerable COL for a 1 or 2BR with a beachier vibe. I dunno whether OB is an Atomika vibe.
It really depends if you get stuck at a north county facility and have to take the 5 south in rush hour lol
Orange County boo
Tumin on

I'm guessing you're not looking at the bay area then
The Bay Area is rough. As a nurse I need to live close to where I work and there’s virtually nothing around SF that isn’t both dilapidated and twice what I’m currently paying for downtown luxury.
Also the sun part of SoCal is more like, "always on fire and severe drought" sun now.
Yeah i don’t think would move there permanently, just do contracts a couple times a year. There’re contracts right now that are more than twice what I make.

LA/Orange County
Rents are slightly better and pay is substantially better
The car thing is the hitch. Also I would probably end up in some kind of rehab after six months or so. Which is suboptimal.
Ahh, yeah. Slightly cheaper, but only slightly.
Better weather, better beaches, car absolutely positively required (bar a few of the more expensive locales), walkability sucks, mountains are subpar, and be ready to drive awhile for any real snow sports.
Might be fun, or you may end up missing the rain. I dunno. Seattlites are weird.
I continue to state we can move to the Bay Area after we win powerball. Then we can live in a much smaller older house than one we just bought in Northern Virginia.
Bay Area is cray cray.
I like it but its unaffordable and we make good money.

This is probably the move to make, get that cheddar
Them: I want a ranged weapon, but also I need a solid option for melee just in case. I also want to chop wood occasionally. Can all of this fit in a single equipment slot?

The nice thing is the hatchet head acts as a stock you can nestle into your shoulder for stability when shooting, and the pistol acts as something with which to shoot yourself in the foot while chopping

I’ve been talking to one for four years and it’s a problem
Weather that's gorgeous 11.5 months out of the year?
It’s time, honestly. The pay is not competitive for the west coast anymore.

Oh yeah driving around there is really bad.
But it also has probably one of the best Japantowns in the US thanks to a lot of the Japanese companies keeping their US hqs there.
So that is a bonus.
That is just outside of LA if I remember right. I hear this from the GF who knows the area way better.

Severe drought yes, always on fire less so but certainly a yearly occurrence.

probably at or moreso than the Bay Area
tons of hospitals though

Watching that Kids in the Hall doc on Amazon
I am very puzzled why they broke a 95 minute doc into 2 46 minute episodes
i dunno but the break makes sense where they put it at least
Well, 9.5 and the other 2.5 are "On Fire" so there is that
I would say she and/or they
Oh no you’re gonna end up moving to CA by the time I get back to WA I am fortunes fool alas
Oh nah
